True, but Poison has always been and probably always will be a defensive type. It should be given another resistance to buff it.

Sure, ice is a great offensive type, but ice-type POKEMON are nearly universally garbage because oh how the retards at gamefreak hq design them. The only exception are Weavile (which is already frail as fuck, a few extra resistances wouldn't help), Mamoswine (which isn't incredibly bulky because of ice, and there is literally nothing wrong with making it a slightly better meme bird and smogonshark check), and the Kyurems, which are Ubers anyway and have ridiculous BSTs/stat spreads along with being dragons, an already OK defensive type.

Currently Ice types attacks are better utilised by non-Ice types, since you get the coverage without having to waste a slot on a shitmons on top of having a terrible defensive typing.

Water is broken, from the movepools to the state spreads to the defensive and offensive matchups. Making Ice resist it would be totally reasonable from a balancing point of view.

Dragon isn't a spectacular offensive type anyway, moron. Not to mention that Garchomp usually carries either Fire Blast or Stone Edge anyway.

Ice resisting flying would possibly be the single best thing to happen to the meta. No more braindead birdspam that invalidates more than half of the Pokemon that are in UU (who would honestly be at least low usage OU if it weren't for bravest bird). Talonflame now gets reliably revenge killed by Weavile, Scarf Mamoswine isn't as niche a pick. Tornadus can't throw out Hurricane anymore, and best of all, the hot garbage that is MPidgeot gets decisively relegated to PU like it deserves. Also, MPinsir is made slightly more viable by proxy, since it gets CC to deal with Ice type switchins that resist Aerilate Return/QA, unlike Talonflame.

Not saying that it fixes meta, but it a starter. Water is still defensive and taking away ice beam from some water pokemon may increase variety on teams. Bug was just getting good in gen 5, but then GameFreak decided to fuck 'em over. Bug and Psychic need a little boost. Grass needs a boost as well; it's just an inferior water.

Ice type should be strong against rock not weak to it because of freeze-thaw weathering. That alone might be enough to fix things. It made sense to give ice types a few extra flaws when it was the only thing strong against dragon apart from dragon itself because this helped in the games when dragon types were the pokemon equivalent of final bosses but the games have moved on since then. They should have fixed some of ice's flaws when they brought in fairy as ice lost it's main reason for being.

Remove eviolite and nerf return and you probably could make normal neutral to every type sans ghost, which should keep its immunity. It'd be kinda like gen 1 again with powerful sweepers packing normal moves to help alongside stab.
