Hello, just started playing this week. I have 900 coins and 1 ticket. I can't find the card redeem feature online, but have read that it is gone for the time being. Can you confirm that? Also should I use my coins on anything yet or save em? I have gotten 4 stars on almost all the gold challenge matches so l, so I've gotten tons of free non tradable packs. Having some good fun, can't wait to make a deck of my own!!

Finally getting this deck to a place I like it, will trade out the Master Ball for a Computer Search or Dowsing Machine maybe when the trade servers come back up, maybe swap out the judge for some other tech, that would leave 1 slot free if I remove the judge. Any thoughts?

For the record, this deck is much like the old BW era garchomp/altaria deck was to run, in that it is a very strong deck (I have been winning about half of the legacy tournaments I have entered so far, and make the finals in most of the other half) but only running 9 basics really leads to a lot of mulligans that can give you grief (the main reason I am running Judge as a Jirachibox card, although I would cut it if better tech was suggested).

Apparently someone on reddit said they made a deck with cards they didn't own and then was able to challenge a friend with the deck and after the battle he got all the cards from that deck he didn't own. Is it legit? If so how could you do it?

I always buy one box of each expansion, because opening packs is fun, and then just buy singles of anything I still want or need from the set. Pulled Lugia Break, Bronzong Break, Full Art Team Rocket's Handiwork, Audino EX, Mega Audino EX, one regular and one full art Umbreon EX, Diancie EX, and Zygarde EX. Hypno and Darkrai EX have great synergy together. And All Night Party is actually getting an upgrade in the next set called Chaos Town. Instead of letting you and your opponent wake up, it just flat out says you (and only you) can't be put to sleep (among other things).

And yeah, the cards you'll need here are going to be expensive and maybe difficult to find. But once you get all the staples you'll be able to build any deck you want a lot easier.

Also, you shouldn't be playing Typhlosion. It's a Stage 2 with a hit-and-miss attack. The meta has Night March and Vespiquen - both of which can set up to do 100 (and that's on the low end) on turn 1.

Cards need to work together. This just looks like you picked your Pokemon by playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

If you want to play something, try reading the effects of the attacks

I've been messing around with Typhlosion for a while and this is what I ended up with. You don't really need more than ~20 energies. Assuming you have 40 cards in deck and 18 energies left in there, you end up with a 75% chance of hitting at least two, making the attack consistent. The only inconsistent part is bricking with so many Fire Energies. Earlier builds of mine had maxed out Scorched Earth, Fiery Torch, and Sycamore which virtually prevented me from bricking, but that meant I had to cut out some other important options.

Not him, but he's absolutely right. The deck is a mess and doesn't make a bit of sense. It's a generic "type" deck that most Day 1 players slap together because they don't know any better.

His ratios are all over the place and inconsistent, he doesn't have a true primary attacker and probably thinks a couple of Gyarados and Kyogre are adequate attackers simply because they're EX. Milotic makes no sense here, Articuno brings nothing to the table, and Glaceon is obviously questionable. We're seeing a joke of a trainer lineup including Letter, Tierno, two Center Ladies, more Birches than Sycamore, three fucking Robes, Helmet and EXP Share, and no sign of cards that should be there.

It is, at its core, irredeemable. If he wants to fix his deck, he'll need to pick a specific Pokemon and build the deck around that. Does he want an M Gyarados deck? P Kyogre? Because right now it's neither.

Irredeemable would be if he had to scrap 100% of his deck. Also, a good 1/4 of his deck can stay. If you take out 10 of his pokemons, and exchange 20 of his trainers you would only have changed half of his deck, and it would be a reasonable deck for a beginner without spending much.

First, Glaceon is bad, there is a GlaceonEX coming, and it may even be good if people decide to use more Breaks and Megas.
Milotic is a niche support, so you probably won't use much of it.
KyogreEX is bad, the only attack that deals a decent damage requires a turn to setup.
ManaphyEX is ok.
Regice is a good tech against EX.

I think you were better with Gyarados instead of Kyogre, since it at least can consistently attack after setting his energies and Rough Seas can recover the damage taken from Gyarados.
Also, since you really want to use Milotic, I think you could try out one of the FlashFire, having it knock itself out is a HUGE drawback, but if your opponent knock outs your Gyarados, there really isn't anything that Milotic could do to prevent your opponent from getting the prize from Milotic.

It's far better than Mewtwo since it has the ability to spread damage around and kill for a single energy, whereas Mewtwo needed at least a DCE. It also auto beats Mewtwo without Weakness Policy. Trevenant is a far worse matchup since you're locked out of spirit links.
