When the data broadcast first came out, we assumed the Diantha battle would take place in the Pokémon Village due to Snorlax so I thought they'd the going directly to the Winding Woods from Glorio City (seeing how close it is to them), meet Wulfric/fight Diantha and then go back to Snowbelle with him for the gym battle. Since the data broadcast wasn't for the episodes we initially thought, it looks like they're instead travelling to Snowbelle directly and then go to the woods/Pokémon Village. Still sorta weird they'd do gym battle in an episode, both woods and village in another and then gym battle rematch in the next episode.

I understand now why I'm so invested in Serena. She's symbolic. She represents Ash becoming a shonen hero, the show moving away from the status quo, and everything I've loved about XY. Everything great about it can be traced back to her.

Well, except for the Lemons. They're pretty fun too, but not in a game-changing way like Serena.

Bonnie/Clemont are really the first time the sidekick companions have been really enjoyable since maybe Kanto-era Brock. I just realized this now:

- Tracey was OK but nothing special.
- Misty got boring in Johto.
- AG had Max and Brock's decline as a repetitive gag character.
- DP had Brock become completely dead and uninteresting.
- BW had Iris

This is literally the first time the sidekick companions are as enjoyable as the main girl.
