Kazuki Takahashi is the original author of the Yu-Gi-Oh manga. He is the head writer of the Darkside of Dimensions. It is his story written by him. It is a direct continuation of HIS manga with HIS writing which HE has said. It is being animated. What about all of this is making you think this is not canon?
