Could someone walk me through what I need to do to get shaders working? I dropped the zip into the shaderpacks folder, but nothing happens in game. There isn't a "shader options" button in my menu, either.

When I install optifine, it only works in my normal launcher, but not my pixelmon launcher. And when I try to put it in my pixelmon launcher, the game crashes.

Someone help, please.

So everytime I try to install it manually, it always hangs trying to properly run forge for the first time in pic related. Using the simpler installation works, until I try to join the server and all it does is hangs trying to load stuff. The game runs but I basically only get <1 fps during so. My pc isn't a total potato either, so I don't get what's going on here.

I think I'm going to tear down Destiny Tower.

Let's be honest here - it looks nice, but it's just kinda...there. There's no reason to have a lighthouse there - no docks, no city, no cliffs, no nothing - and there's nothing around it. It doesn't even have the distinction of being the tallest building anymore - Sky Pillar took the only thing it really had going for it. There's no reason to keep it there, beyond the work I put into it. The only thing I wish now is that I knew exactly how many blocks were in it, so I could ask someone in creative mode to do it for me and give me the pieces. Maybe I could do the math - so many blocks to a level? I'd just prefer not to spend a week on this and move on to something else.

On a related note, is a flying town held up by balloons too far on the wacky side for this?

Well, Destiny Tower is about 100 blocks tall, going from 60 at the base to 160 at the top (it goes down to 55 if you count the basement, and the floor in the basement). I don't know exactly how tall Sky Pillar is, but I was told it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 170 blocks from base to top. So Destiny Tower has a higher peak, but Sky Pillar is taller overall.

After exploring for quite a bit I found a cave. In that cave I found an excellent room to build a small hut in. I showed it to another person who enjoys building in caves and he agreed it was an excellent cave to build in. If you like building in caves then come check out 997 / 63 / 340. Just head down the cave at the edge of the lake and take a look around. It's really rough at the moment 'cause neither of us are particularly good builders but if you're not that great either then we don't care and we'd be happy to have you!

Other features include some phenomenal building space on the surface, a natural floating island in the sky, a nearby Birch and Oak forest, and both Beach and Extreme Hills +M biomes.

op for the love of fuck if you want this to last you need to fix the lag

1. turn off pokemon aggressiveness if you already haven't (doubt it since I've seen shit fighting each other), this lowered the lag a substantial amount in genfour

2. consider limiting the map to maybe 10,000x10,000, this is plenty of room and we've already found every biome anyways so it's not like we're gonna be cockblocked out of anything

3. move to hostnode instead of the basement ran crap we're on now

And to address those with lag issues:

>use 2GB or more of RAM
Can't set more than 1GB? Use 64 bit Java, only available on 64 bit operating systems.

>adjust video settings before joining
>use an 8x8 texture pack
8x8 will do wonders, and makes it more pokemon looking imo

Advanced method for windows users:

>right click minecraft process
It'll be whichever java application is taking the most memory

Real time will fuck up your system

^There, I did this and managed to get my shit running smooth enough on a shit school desktop, so it should help you all too.

Spawn is a bit laggy due to all the blocks with custom models (ie: stone paths and apricorn trees), I'll hop on and address that here in a bit.

Block lag is unavoidable at this point, we'll look into a new host, maybe hosthorde because that was somewhat bearable from what I remember. Until then, invest in Thunderstone toosl. I might set up a stones salesman to accommodate this, and he will be VERY jewish, because fast tools aren't affected by block lag.

Finding grottos involves going off into the wilderness, generating new chunks and increasing the map size.

The moves Pokemon use in this are random. I once took 85% damage from one hyoer fang crit, and then was tail whipped for 9 turns while I wore them down. Shit happens, just because it didn't use Roar on you doesn't mean they don't have it.

Come to think of it, an Intimidate Krookodile at level 50 or so could probably wall it completely. If you give it a Smoke Ball, you could just keep throwing Quick Balls, running, and repeating because he wouldn't be able to stop you.

If they all have their level 70 gen 5 movesets, then Entei has nothing but fire and psychic attacks, so he's walled by any Flash Fire Houndour.

Suicune also only has Ice Fang and Extrasensory (and a low attack stat), so it's also fairy prepare a defense against.


Really, most of the legendaries are fairly easy to catch if you can exploit their default movesets. A team of 6 Water Absorb Pokemon will completely fuck over Kyogre, for example, since his only non-water attack only has 5 PP. You could just breed a bunch of level 1 Woopers with Rain Dance and Sanstorm and Kyogre would be an easy catch.
