Unburden Slurpuff is a monster. If only it could tank a little better, it'd be the perfect pokemon. It can cleric, wish, belly drum, disrupt, and mix special moves in the mix. You don't even have to run max attack or speed to OHKO stuff.

Also your taunts were killing me. If the one on Zapdos hadn't run out for me to roost, I probably would have lost. It was the only thing putting any damage on the board. Also I brought M-Banette and M-Medicham, totally forgot about it since it was my battle spot singles team.

So I been testing this mono Normal team in Showdown and it's been doing decently against most threads, but I am missing key elements like water and earth

Not sure if this general is appropiate, but I've been trying to get destiny knot from the couple at Sea Mauville, but I haven't been able to get it. I got sick of biking and surfing between the day care and Sea Mauville, so I also entered contests, and beat Master Rank once (with a lot of luck), and got second a few times, but still no dice. Then I read somewhere you can just soft-reset the couple at Sea Mauville, but still no dice after about 15 attempts.
Is there some requirement to get the destiny knot besides rematching the couple? According to bulbapedia the successive rematches should have their pokes leveled a bit higher, but they're stuck on level 29. I also haven't beaten the game yet (want to build a team already). Am I missing something? Or is my RNG just bad?

So, I haven't transferred them over yet, but I have a literal fuckton of shinies from Pearl I recently caught.

I RNG'd for hours to get the right ID and SID for the cute charm trick.
Now I encounter shinies about 20% of the time. If you want any, just let me know and I'll trade you a bunch for anything good once I transfer some over.

Since they are so plentiful I'd probably trade like 3 of them for a shiny from another game.

I recently WT'd away all my hackmons, even those I wasn't too sure about.
Going totally pure, though I count the cute charm glitch as legitimate considering it is done without third party tools.

I'll list out what I have currently in the next post, but keep in mind I can catch more later. I haven't beaten the game yet, so I'm limited in what I can catch.
General rule of thumb though, if it can be encountered in the wild on Pearl, has a gender, and isn't female only, then I can get a shiny one with enough encounters.

Strategy, don't play battle spots. Go through passerby's profile invite those with comparable wins to me or more wins than me to battle. Observe their strategy and adapt. Ignore things like tiers and as much as possible. Try to battle and win as much as possible so i constantly escalate the base i use to judge which peer passerby i invite to battle. Have fun. A good attitude always helps to keep people battling even in slumps, in other words learn from losses and move on.
