No. Some Gens are certainly better than others, there's no question of it. The games have different qualities and features to them and some of these features and qualities are better/worse than others. If you enjoy Emerald for the Battle Frontier you are not going to enjoy ORAS' lack of postgame, this is a simple fact. If you never use any Pokémon besides the original 151 you're not going to enjoy BW1 unless you adapt to using the newer ones. And so on.

Every generation has its fans and its detractors, and different people will think different Gens are better based on their tastes, I can accept this. But not every generation is equal and it's idiotic to suggest that they are.

Whether a game is better or worse than another is a matter of perspective, and since we all have our own perspective, it's an endless fight. I loved the battle frontier, and I was sad it didn't return, but that doesn't make me love that Gen any less, because I understand that that is my perspective, and that others may not feel the same about it. I can't remember how high up the mountain is but if it's high enough that seems reasonable.

Can't defend the desert besides "muh Ground Zero" though, and I played BW1 more than BW2 when each game was contemporary.

I live in Jamaica, and there used to be snow on our highest mountain despite everywhere surrounding it never getting colder than usual during the winter.

All volcanoes in the series are super close to normal towns. Sinnoh's volcano next to a tropical town was located above it's town that was snowy due to how high up it was geographically.

It's honestly not hard to defend at all.
