3 is actually one of my least favourite gens. I still think its better than 1 or 2 gameplay wise (at least FRLG and Emerald are, I never played RS) but the music sucks, the Hoenn games have horrible "plots" and most of the pokemon designs are forgettable and some of them are just utter garbage. There are a few gems but it's pretty weak in my opinion.
