Plus a trainer beating the shit out of other people's/wild Pokemon, regardless of whether it's a fusion or not, is too violent and outlandish for Pokemon so actual fusion wouldn't happen unless literally every trainer could do it and wild encounters didn't allow it.

I think it's stupid, why waste time on "fusions" when a Pokemon can just be given a Mega?
Plus it would look unnatural, what if my character is wearing green, pink and black clothes? Why would I want those colours on my Pokemon unless they Pokemon already has said colours. It would just look unnatural and clash with their design.
