The way I see it, if it's just going to come down to Aria and Serena doing appeals, Aria has the advantage due to being famous and more well known than Serena. Also, when Aria and Serena battled before, Aria was shown to be quite skilled at it.

I just think that it would be a little unfair (and a little boring) if Serena and Aria only had to appeal against each other. A battle would be best, imo.

In the Pokenchi episode she talks about how she looked at earlier winners and came to the conclusion that the easiest way to win is to use lots of colors and to fill in gaps all around the image. The Pokeballs are there specifically to make the people that look at the drawings subconsciously wonder how many there are, which will make it stand out as more memorable to them. Likewise, the Eeveelutions are there because they're very colorful in addition to thematically belonging together.

So I've been brewing up a massive /padt/-worthy theory about Ash and The Hero's Journey. Haven't fine tuned the details yet, but the general idea is that each region's adventure has been only one part of the larger overarching Hero's Journey instead of each region being its own journey.

Just change the scale from "Ash wants to be a Pokemon Master, but stronger trainers are in his way" to "Ash wants to be a Pokemon Master, but real-life factors are in the show's way"

On the smaller scale, we see this each region:
>The Call to Adventure part has always been clear, he's always wanted to be a Pokemon Master.
>Supernatural Aid is his Pokemon
>Traveling companions are self explanatory, Helpers, Mentors, etc.
>Challenges are Gyms and other trainers
>The Abyss comes when he loses the league and can no longer achieve his goal
>Because Ash never wins, Transformation is repositioned in the cycle
>He returns home, is applauded for his achievement, and gets a new Call to Adventure
>Transforms by leaving his Pokemon behind and changing his clothes

But it looks much different when you zoom out and look at the entire show so far. (1/2)
