If he was given a job to design and draw a Pokemon. No. Since it's name was set before the task was even given to him.

From what I recall his main job is a 3D designer, and most of his Pokemon are just ideas he submitted on the side.

There is one line of his that was apparently requested due to a type shortage. Guess which one it was.
