I avoid searching for certain things directly because I'm too embarrassed about the subject material.
Also sometimes I avoid searching for things directly to lessen the disappointment of discovering that what I'm looking for doesn't exist.
I use more generic terms that would include the thing I'm looking for.

I don't search for "toilet_use" on Gelbooru because I feel weird that I'm into that, so I just search for things like "bathroom" or "toilet".

A little while ago, I had what I think was a minor case of legitimate OCD. I would refuse to mouse over anything I disagreed with, and if I did I would have to find something I agreed with and rub the cursor on it to get rid of the badness.
Other examples included that, if something I didn't like was on the screen and I wanted to leave the page, I would have to scroll until it was off the screen, and then I could leave. If I heard something in a Youtube video I didn't like, I would rewind to a point before it was said, then go to the point after it was said, "skipping" it.
