Figured I'd post this here since I don't see any other way to talk about the state of the boards and get it noticed other than on here without being overflooded with shitposts and deleted in half an hour.
ever since the election a lot of /pol/ has spilled over to other boards, and politics related shitposting has become rampant on many boards.
One of the worst infected is /v/, which recently had all discussion of the new Wolfenstein that was just announced destroyed because it had black characters.
Can politics discussion just be banned entirely outside of /pol/, similar to how ponies were banned entirely outside of /mlp/? I just want to be able to talk about video games again.

I don't know why /tv/ insists on posting political threads on their board. It's not even a talk show like Oliver or Colbert in most cases. It's usually just a thread posting about what Trump did with no relation to television or film.

Take it from someone who's been browsing /v/ since 2007: it's never going to get better. /v/ is cancer incarnate. The mods abandoned that board long ago and for good reason. Leave that place and never look back.

I've wanted that for 5 years. Even if it was though, there aren't enough staff to enforce it, and no one would report it when it happened. As evidenced by that exact thing happening on boards where politics is off-topic. 4chan posters just suck now.

I get putting tags in your filename, but you could use some kind of directory structure and maybe symlinks to cut down on the name length a little. Then you could even use a tool like mlocate to search your files using a speedy SQL backend that barely/doesn't hit your disks.
