Anyway, don't think about it too much. A lot of people don't actually come to 4chan for conversation and will get turned off from it for petty reasons. If you can have a decent conversation with someone, that's great, if people are just memeing on you then accept it and move on.

Basically no way around this. The only way to avoid it would be significantly increased mod and janitor presence, which would just lead to 4chan being something like Reddit or Neogaf 2.0. You just need to treasure the good threads while you have them, and come to terms with the fact that you'll probably deal with rampant shitposting.
