my little pony is just western moe without the sexualization of the characters. I wouldn't consider myself a brony but the fact that people shit themselves over something that has already been apart of 4chan culture since it's launch is pathetic.

I don't mind it at all, I think 4chan is supposed to be a board where you can bond with other people over interests that are too obscure to share with people offline. For that reason the whole MLP thing seems perfectly appropriate for 4chan. I'm not an MLP fan myself but I'm really no better than they are because I'm into some nerdy shit too.

I don't go to boards massively affected by it. It crops up now and again but I haven't really seen it since I left /b/ years ago.

One of the annoying things about it (which gave rise to /mlp/) was MLP fans are really prone to avatarfagging and that was getting really obnoxious. Not because of the pictures themselves per se, but the same way that tripfagging is annoying, only way more obvious, way more annoying, and while pushing up the image limit rapidly.

/mlp/ should be deleted and Rule 15 dissolved. It will be a rough couple of weeks, but afterwards it will be like nothing happened. Just relegate /mlp/ to a general on /co/ and ban anyone intentionally trying to bait people with ponies. Ban them for off-topic discussion if they bring it up in unrelated circumstances (both sides so people learn to stop biting their bait) and ban them for avatarfagging if need be. A month later everything will be sorted out as people adjust.
