can we please change how thread bumping works?
right now it favors unique IDs over anything else, so that means that shitty roll and bait threads will be at the top instead of meaningful threads with 3 or 4 posters
source: see almost every board
What are you on lad

/r9k/: boipucci and porn threads always reach 100+ replies and stay on the top
/pol/: racebaiting and shill threads
/g/: shill and /v/ threads
/tv/: capeshit and BLACKED
all these threads are popular because they encourage the average user to leave a half-assed shitpost as a response and then move on with their life, and the bumping system keeps them at the top for more people to take the bait

dumb frogposter
>>50555
you just proved my point by bumping this thread back up to the top with your reply, even though it has no substance
>>50556
this board is so slow that sage really doesn't have much effect. anyway, i feel like you're just getting upset at trollbait and that's pretty dumb

>trying to get me to admit that I didn't bump the thread in violation of site-wide rules

How do you suggest that we determine which threads are valuable and which ones aren't.
Have you tried reddit? If you're looking for a site where more attention is given to posts that people prefer then that might be more your cup of tea than 4chan.
>>50549
>unique IDs
Do you fucking see IDs here? Or on most boards?
>>50915
I have often thought that ranking threads by number of responses to a post would turn out to be fun
dumb frogposter
>>50951
OP probably meant IPs but is obviously retarded.
>>50963
I remember when i first fled /r9k/ in 2011 because of frog posters.
Holy shit go the fuck back 2 Reddit. Post order should ALWAYS be chronological. Goddamn newfags.
>>50549
Auto-sage based on post size!
>>50553
Then filter those threads.

that's what this site is for
Back when I could bump own threads I'd samefag them from the other side and argue with myself in order to spark a conversation.

No, I didn't

Yes, I did. Don't contradict me

Don't tell me what to do. You're not even me.
