OP here again. Since nobody is answering the question, I'd probably choose a good, strong spear that won't break on me too easily; I'd choose one a foot longer than his longest polearm. The lack of a helmet puts his armour level below mine; it's a crippling weakness. Basically I try to poke him in the eye and shit, exploiting my reach advantage. Given his record, I probably still lose, but it would be my best chance at winning imo.

obviously i pick the katana.
also i would try and throw dirt into his eyes since they are unprotected, and get close to him while he was blind and slash at his face/neck/throat. to that end having a sword would be useful, but i'm not actually a katanafag irl. a broader sword which i could hopefully use to bat aside his polearm would probably be best, and as i'm an untrained plebe skeleton, just having something with an easy to use cutting edge would be good.

A claymore has a wide hilt that is angled forward, i deal for catching the pole. I could then twist the blade to angle the polearm away at a convenient angle to slide the weapon off and swing for his head. Dont say he's too strong for thats, not how physics work. A pole arm is a heavy weapon and his strength will be in the thrust, his weight will work against him.

The nobleborn knights would be a little stronger due to their weight. I would imagine that fatness would have been perceived as a good thing and a sign of wealth, so most of the noblemen would be fat. They might be a little weak in the arm though still without exercise. I suppose they would do a bit of sparring for that.
