SA you have to pay $10 to post at all and if you get banned then enjoy having to pony up another $10.

In theory I think SA's paygate is a good thing since it provides an incentive for you to be a decent poster unless you feel like paying again.

The downside of course is that it's shackled to the forum structure where circle jerking and being prey to the whims of a mod are inherent. Because of the latter, mods have the ability to shape the culture of a subforum or the forum as a whole.

Basically my point was that you have to pay to post on SA. You can post for free on 4chan with the only thing the pass getting you is a captcha bypass and at the moment the ability to post on /vip/.

I own a pass, but have no interest in seeing pass users rewarded with any special privileges beyond what currently exist. At the moment I don't think I'd even mind losing /vip/.

If Hiro tries to go in that direction I'll be among those not in favor of it.
