What is the financial status of 4chan.

I saw this but dunno if I can trust libtard media on this one. But now I see they're trying to incentivize buying a 4chan Pass through special boards? Huh?
The media reporting on this is the weirdest part, to be honest. 4chan's been through financial difficulties loads of times and they've never reported on it before. They know nothing we don't - only what's been posted by Hiro. And Hiro doesn't even say 4chan is facing an existential threat, just that he might need to make cutbacks. The clickbait aspect of neo media is blowing this out of proportion.
>financial troubles means we need to close boards
>so make another one

I'm more interested in the guinea pig story desu

randy by name randy by nature
Wow, that was actually a surprisingly insightful article. I'm used to media reporting on 4chan being hilariously misinformed but the author seems to actually understand 4chan and what's going on.

This board will probably lead to a net profit though

>It is the internet’s id, a place where anonymity runs free in its purest form. The true nature of mankind can be glimpsed there, in all its horror and glory and depravity.
Yeah, not bad. That's how I'd characterize it too.
why is the media constantly posting about 4chan and 4chan memes?

>"We don't know how long Randy was in the female enclosure but it could have been several weeks which would have given him time to go round the entire female population.
Living in a female-only pen for several weeks, and he got to impregnate all of them. Truly living the dream.
4chan is fine. It'll keep on keeping on like it has for the last ten years.

>Because this is an actual media site, not gawker-tier clickbait.
The Graun? Real media? Kek.

Because back then old media and print still meant something. Now everything is online and every other article mentions something said on Twitter. 4chan has naturally grown in notoriety, too.
/pol/ fucking had to get itself involved in shit thats way beyond its control
But it also goes to show how corrupt politics are. A fucking meme board can get a guy to the presidential election for lulz. Imagine what we could do with shit that actually matters, like cucking up the oligarchic 1%.
You must be new. That or you've forgotten the era when 4chan was in danger of dying due to financial reasons every other month.

>the founder of 2chan
Idiocy.
