Yes they are actually just gay clubs, movies portray them as something cool, but IRL nobody joins that shit except for losers who are paying for college with their parents money. The only frats worth joining are ones that are more traditional and you only join to make connections with rich people for the future.

It all depends on the school and what frat. There are all different kinds of frats, loser frats, black frats, gay frats, rich kid frats etc. I live in the south so I meet a lot of them, most are try hard douchers, but there are also some really solid dudes.
