I think they would. They already have several things in common such as being scions of their billion-dollar company that has dabbled in shadow work and screwed the world because of it so they are now trying to atone by fixing said issues, they ride motorcycles, have dead fathers, and speak English. Well that part is a big thing for Mitsuru. At least Nanjo will understand what the hell she's saying.

As far as personalities, they both have very strong personalities and may not exactly see eye to eye for everything, but Nanjo isn't as douchey as he used to be and values people and works with them, at least since P2. I think when Mitsuru gets in her "I must do this all aloooone," Nanjo is the objective and blunt guy to snap her out of that funk. He did it with Maki just fine when she was in denial.

They probably met when Mitsuru was a child though.
