Pay attention to your team and the hud. For example in the middle of the capture bar you can see how many people are on the point.

Quick napkin calculations:

You need 40k more after dumping 200 crystals for VIP.
Shave off 3k from the 6 weekly quests bonus.

Assume that your winrate is 50% which means an average VIP points of 105, it means 352 matches more.

There's 336 hours in the VIP so on average you need to play 1.05 matches per hour to just reach the end. Most matches end in 15-20mins.

Basically, if you forgo sleep and play 24/7 for 2 weeks straight or hire somebody on the other side of the world to play for you, you should be able to nab the Maeve skin fairly confidently,

If you have a life, I would recommend you purchase 1 or 2 VIP points pack which would make it 340 crystals and 2 weeks of casual playing for the Raeve skin.

Because whales like me have been completely honest with them since early on in the beta that if they keep the game easy for F2P to stay competitive while keeping the price reasonable we'll pretty much clear them out every patch. If they continue this kind of practice I have no issue what so ever giving them money. Paladins gives me more daily entertainment then any other game has in close to a decade. If you're actively listening to your paying customers while not attempting to sodomize their wallet at every turn they'll give you consistent business. Ever since they started giving sets only and made chest rolls not absurd to complete I've put a decent amount of money into the game, prior to the changes I only bought crystals for stuff like the festival and valentine chest last year where now its practically every patch. Hi Rez seems to have noticed since they seem to be going full steam ahead with this method.

I'm into my late 20s, I grew up playing arena shooters and all I want is an accessible game that has a strong population. I'm easy if you treat me right and don't be greasy about taking my money.

People really underestimate how good a Grohk can be with a tank. At low MMR a Grohk can singlehandedly tank the point with his ridiculous sustain and consistent damage output, at higher MMRs where people actually learn to shut down your totem and keep track of your cooldowns it becomes necessary to play with a tank that can protect your totem and cover for you while you wait for your abilities to go back up.
CC immunity on totem is also really great for countering a lot of champs and ults.

I agree, Grohk can be really good with Inara. Sometimes I like to party up with a friend, where I pick Grohk with Totemic Ward (plus the cards that increase the totem duration and healing) and he picks Inara with Tremors. When I place down my totem, he covers it entirely with the wall, which means that the enemies can't destroy the totem while it's inside the wall. Shame I've never seen this strategy being used by anyone else.
