I need some help guys. Having come from ff14 i know the basics of tanking and all that, can hold aggro generally, but recently i have noticed my rage generation just not being up to the task. I try to pop 2 sunders on our main target then 1 on any others around to prevent them from changing targets due to heals. But its just not working out that way anymore. Plus im missing most of my swings even though im 222/225 sword skill. I tried grinding it up by dual weilding 2 shitty swords and killing stuff around my level but it just wont increase. I read int helps so i bought some int gear and got the int buff from a mage but it still wont increase.

Stack sunders on main target, taunt something else, get fast weapon for rage generation, don't stance dance if you have no stance mastery, use bloodrage before pull for multiple targets, mark shit(helps a lot). You will still have rage generation problems early on though, you just can't get more out of damage you take, and you have no +hit items on your level yet to help with your own whites. Also, don't try to tank dungeons 3 levels higher than you, you won't be able to horde aggro at all there.

You shouldn't even need it in 5 mans as a pally. Pallys have enough aoe threat to begin with. But if someone does pull a random mob then using your seal of righteousness judgement on that mob then focus it and it should go back to targeting you. Seal of righteousness is the tanking seal btw.

You could find a dude on ownedcore to level for you. It would be safer than buying from chinese guys.
I believe some do level boosting as well, so you could level a bit on your own, then pay him to rush you through some levels (mob tagging, instances, etc) and that way it's all you on the account, same IP, etc.
Alternatively you could potentially hire someone here to level you a 60 - as long as they don't use cheats to do it you should be ok, but that would require trusting someone here.

I'd suggest always buying from dudes with decent rep and feedback, and a guy leveled by-hand by someone who does that as a supplemental income - not just buying a character from a raider that's burnt out since even if he thinks he's done, he can change his mind later and get the server to play along. (Elysium may just blanket ban instead of granting it back, not sure- bet it depends on whichever GM you interact with since they're so inconsistent)

How are Warmane's TBC realms?

Decided I don't have the patience or time for vanilla (as much as I would love to), but I wouldn't mind raiding TBC and eventually WOTLK for one last time before I finally quit WoW for good.

Shame I missed out on experiencing Vanilla, but after years of trying to get into it, I've realised it's something you really had to experience in it's "glory days". When I hit level 20 on Elysium I honestly started doubting why I was playing this game if i wasn't enjoying it.

my mage had 13 days played to 60 and my warrior only 11, even though the levelling is miles and miles slower, simply because i was rediscovering the game and i didn't remember where stuff was

Follow a guide. At the very least it will force you to go to and leave quest hubs at decent times.
Don't be afraid to drop a quest if it sucks, always kill shit as you move from point A to point B.
Doing it this way, you will never run into hiccups, but you have to be ok with some grinding sometimes.
Vanillaguide is an addon that shows a guide a you go, believe it's copy/paste from joana/jame depending on faction (i get them confused). And some quests it indicated won't be in there, but not a huge deal. Depending on your class you may run into some elite quests that aren't easily solo'd, feel free to drop them unless the reward is too good to miss (most if not all guides were written from hunter or lock pov, two classes that can solo most everything while questing).

Im usually a meele guy, but I wasnt really having any fun at all with a warrior/rogue, having to eat after killing any mob and getting killed if I got attacked by more than one. Mage blinks/teleports make travelling around the world a breeze, plus they have great AoE capabilites and whatnot. Feels great desu.
I think the most important part of leveling is actually enjoying the character you are playing. If you start leveling with your sights already on 60, youll just get burned out. Better to just try out some classes and try sticking with the one you like the best, it will probably turn out ok.

Yeah, I've been playing WoW since Vanilla but I was quite young and pretty retarded so I don't think I ever actually got past Stonetalon. I loved WoW back then but only part of this is nostalgia for me, since I'm going around zones I never saw in Vanilla.

I didn't start actually playing the game at max level until Cataclysm so I still kind of have that feeling of wonder when I go into new zones.

If I didn't switch to this lock I'd more than likely still be on my mage. The kill time was pretty solid and very safe with Nova I found, and the ability to make your own food and water was great. I like how with Lock if I just use my wand instead of spamming spells I can almost go forever without having to drink.

I was there for the Beta testing for the PvE.

the dungeons/raids were scripted competently, but it means shit when everyone is using the same fucking youtuber DPS builds. No one knows how to make a tank/healer build, so everything was a shitshow, so right off the bat it becomes a PvP centric server.

On paper, it does work. the classless system is fun to experiment with, and the vanilla zones are competently scripted (i mean how on earth can anyone fuck up vanilla?)

The problem is the circlejerking community, which ruins Wpvp and leveling. You will get ganked numerous times by the same couple of guilds, and when you join one of those guilds, you are automatically KoS.

Also no one runs the dungeons anyway, but if you do finish a dungeon, once you finish it, you will get kicked and ganked by your party for any of the gear you rolled on.

Class resets costs hundreds of gold, and this is vanilla, so thats a huuuuge gold sink that discourages experimentation.

Some GM went rogue and gave people a bunch of free shit and spam killed half the server. It was so bad the server had to be rolled back 48 hours. After that the guy running the project pretending that blizzard shut them down for 3-4 weeks, no one bought his bullshit and everyone quit the server. People moved to hellfire but when people got the outlands they realised the pathing was completely turned off there and most people quit.

Apparently hellfire is merging with vengeance now. I don't really follow this stuff very closely though since all of the TBC servers are dead trash.
