I don't want to play your edgy esports duel nor does 90% of the fanbase. The stock Quake game modes get boring real fast. RA, CTF, TF, AQ, etc and just a bunch of other custom maps and rules comprised the overwhelming vast majority of the fanbase's playing time during Quake's era of dominance.
Mobaquake is a novel idea and may have even made its way into some of our regular mod playing rotations back in the day had it you know, actually been a mod and not a forced game mode.
Why doesn't id/Beth understand that the path to success is enabling the community to create content and THEN turn that content into "esports", not force your dumpshit mod onto everyone. Look at the origins of ASSFAGGOTS and how they became so popular. Hint: it wasn't via some corporate dweebs calculating the best way to syphon money from kid's pockets. You should have created a community toolkit and made esports from the popular mods that spawned from it. Just like how Quake became a household name and just how the dominant esports came about that we see today.

I mean Ranger has good stuff and mobility bonuses but they're all for long time pro players if you think about it
The Orb deal 100 damage but it's slow moving and has a long cooldown, although you can reach areas that others couldn't with ease, but it's best used when you know perfectly the map. Then he's got the 25% self damage reduction to rocket jump easier, but it's something to take into consideration if you know what you're doing.

Or you could pick Sorlag, vomit people at random and blind them, 150 health base, good speed and little detractions. Or Anarki and self heal whenever you're afraid of something. Or Scalebearer and spook people when surprise bullrush their anus.

Ranked mode is still coming desu. Pretty sure skill is taken into account in quick play matchmaking too but the game is still learning how good/bad people are, give it time. Duel moar for the algorithm I guess.

everything you shoot during quad will have 4x damage. galena's totems get the damage for the exact duration.
if quad is about to run out, any projectile you fire will still do 4x even if you dont have quad, but the projectile is traveling.
sorlag spit works that way too, quad runs out in 1 sec, you spit and the DoT will do 40/tick

Anarki's problem isn't even being fast, it's the idiotic design philosophy in hero shooters of making characters have largely disproportional player models resulting in Sorlag or Clutch being gigantic and Anarki being an ant, it just creates inconsistency and is something I really wish they had stuck with from classic Quake, similarly proportioned player models and hitboxes for everyone.

"Stalling" isnt justification to nerf one of the weakest characters in the game.

She may be weak, but she's fairly low in kill power/weak in combat.

I like the game but the Lightning Gun fascination is getting onto my nerves, the weapon is just too good

I think most of the issues are because it seems the game doesn't have lag compensation correctly
I have constant 110-120 ping to the US servers and the rockets not connecting appear more often, same as every proyectile based weapon. It works whenever it pleases, so I'm getting more used to hitscans now. LG is by far the easiest weapon ingame because of this too, because it's consistent.

I mean 120 ping seems outrageous to any burger but it's perfectly playable any game. Quake is faster, yes, and has more quirks to think about when joining a high ping server, yet this is more of a bug rather than just "get a better connection" because Quake 3 worked beautifully.

Cutoff for me is more like 180-200. I find Quake Live, Unreal Tournament and Dirty Bomb perfectly playable at 150, it only starts to feel off at 180 and really bad past 200 (by this point even godly lag compensation means nothing, the other guy just sees you so much faster you will be at least 50% dead by the time you react).

High ping doesn't make shots not hit, that's packet loss. Of course it's better to play with 12 ping or less in a local server but just being maybe a shot or 2 behind the other player at 100-150 is perfectly manageable (I speak from experience having played competitive Dirty Bomb at 150 ping). If it's a short TTK game like Counter Strike though it becomes 10x harder.

Start the download, close steam, copy the files into the steamapps folder and open steam again, it will then check the files and should only download what is missing unless they changed the file system or something.
Also it will ask you to login with the beth account on startup, I don't think you can even play without linking the accounts.

Weapon challenges are the easiest.

Now I have shit like "from the grave 15 times" that I couldn't get a single time in ~10 games.
It's a very situational kill that you can't do on purpose and it can take forever to actually achieve it on a SPECIFIC fucking champion.
