Sadly, it wasn't situations like that. It wasn't like I trained Ishtar, Sivulple, Drake, ect. only to have it nerfed. Better examples is more akin to setting up all the infastructure to do Industry just before all the Industry rework was announced and happened. Most recently however was I had just finished maxing out all my Fighter skills before the nerf. I was not a Carrier ratter and had them primarily to maximize offensive capabilities of the new Structures.

I was going from Dodixie to Jita in my blockade runner and, just as I arrived at the Uedama gate, some poor sap in an iteron got ganked. I immediately stopped my ship, aproached, looted, then warped to a planet cloaked.
It wasn’t a lot of loot, only about 600 mill., but it got me thinking. Could you do this professionally to earn ISK (camp gates waiting for ganks and then quickly looting the wrecks before the gankers can)? Could an Alpha player do it, in a quick frigate?

you just fit EAMNs on gallente t2, leave that explosive hole open like who the fuck uses explosive dmg these days.
