I spent the last hour just flying around getting chests just like the good old days of farming all my main spec legendaries. Got 8 legendaries (+1 offspec legendary) in 7 weeks and now it's gone. JK is such a poorly designed fight, holy shit. The fight is designed so bad, that the hc to mythic transition is literally "yeah, lets' throw like 3 more of each thing at them". It feels like LFR to NM transition, not hc to m. Due to the nature of the fight being extremely roboty and janky, you know what's going to happen when, so its like you're all playing guitar hero and try not to miss the notes. People have to do specific things at specific times while doing their role, and that's it. Almost no new mechanics in mythic, and the added weight of it not being worth it due to LFR shit TFing to 955 makes everything not fucking worth it. Fuck JK and fuck his CE.

Pugs are going to ask for an ilvl you can't get in a week, or very easily. Thats the entire point. If there was an easy way to get 920, pugs would ask for 930. If it was easy to get 930, they'd ask for 940. Do the hardest content you can and hope you get lucky with drops.

Lich King had limited attempts. He wasn't as hard as you might think, and heroic Conclave of Wind was one of the easiest bosses of that tier, while Al'akir was possibly the hardest. Guilds worked on Cho'gall and Nefarian before Al'akir.
Basically, casuals who have never raided at a top 50 world level shouldn't even bother speculating on difficulty because they never take the right things into consideration.

Judging the fight by its mechanics, and the power level of the player classes at the time.

Sinestra may have been the heroic only boss, but she was very easy. Make no mistake, Algalon, and Ra-Den were also vastly easier than what you had to do to unlock them. I'm not saying Al'akir was easy, he was one of the hardest bosses in that entire expansion.

Yogg was a hard fight. There's no other excuse. But I suspect a lot of guilds gave up on him because they thought he was mathematically impossible.
