It's a big city in a rural region, everything in the region that's not a city is fields or farms. Their meat is labeled as being from here, and stuff like that gets very regular controls. The highway is surrounded by fields, and you could probably get on top of a tall building with a spyglass and find a gorillion different farms.

What do you find to be good places to place your summon sign in NG+? I typically stick to King's gate or Fume Knight, I get summoned within a couple minutes usually, but I feel like trying out other spots.

Strafe/roll to the side, like Pontiff K***hts they're very aggressive when you're in front of them but are easy to stagger and don't have overly many attacks for dealing with foes to their sides/back.

Also, I'm pretty sure that attacking the claw ones as they wind up for their frenzy attack staggers them for a visceral.

I use UGS though. But the bleed buildup on one of the corvian knights unconsciously sends me into a panic. It doesn't help that they deal a huge damage.

I think the gimmick of BB is that the crazy flashy bosses and strange bizarre atmosphere makes people timid about attacking, because it's more of a horror game atmosphere where they want to back away and observe before approaching. But BB favors the bold and if you do get in their face and mash R1, it gets a bit one dimensional.

How overlevelled are you in order to have this be a viable strategy?
It's been awhile since I played admittedly, but I remember being three to four hit by almost every boss (Barring witches of course, and Shadows of Yharnam maybe) and occasionally being nearly (or sometimes) 1Hit by various telegraphed super moves (One Reborn Nova, SoY Spirit Snake shit, Some of Rom's magic, etc.)

I've decided to try picking up Dark Souls 2 again since I've played 3 and Bloodborne to death, what's the Soul Memory meta for PvP so I can try to avoid going over it before grabbing agape ring.
I'll work out my actual Soul Level as I go.

terrible design choices

1.finite potions - I could understand if there was some variation, you could choose which ones you wanted, and have rarity/price be part of that, but its functionally identical to estus except it can run out if you're not careful early on.

2. Identical enemies with different amounts of health - This is another early game one, but its just such bad form to have an enemy suddenly have an extra 50 health to counter attack with when you were confident they were about to die. Arcade brawlers solved this with different colour schemes 20 years ago, its inexplicable to not do the same.

3. lantern offering no choices but return to hunters dream - Its just a fuck of a lot of load screens.

I'm lvl 68 and just fought micolash. according to the wiki i'm actually pretty underleveled.

I wish I had recorded some of my fights because I really feel like i'm playing a totally different game. I definitely lose big chunks of health, but using the cane and rally, you can get it right back in 4 seconds and still have stamina to spare.

Yes, but at the cost of making your actual movement very slow and stamina regeneration terrible. Every little point below 70% matters in DS2, and you should stick between 30 and 50% if you want to have decent length rolls and stamina recovery.

What you should worry about is iFrames times distance, which is both Agility and Weight %. If you have a long roll, then you only need a few iframes to get completely out of the way of an attack. If you have a lot of iframes, you don't need as long of a roll to be immune for the duration of the hitbox you're exposed to.

The only spells that actually become weaker from Spicing down are Affinity (less orbs), Numbness (less duration) and Unleash Magic (which is technically a Sorcery, but also reduced duration). Anything else, you can Spice down with no ill effects.

Technically you could beat the game at SL70 or so. If it's your first time, don't worry so much about it, just spend your spare souls on fashion.

SL80-90 is what you're recommended to be to beat AoA, though it's more than possible at SL50. TRC is SL100 and above, though again you can beat that at lower levels (and some people even do it as low as SL25-30 just to get Lightning Arrow on twinks).

The glitch is not really a glitch, it's how the multiplayer system works
It prefers to summon active players to evade AFKers, therefore it will usually select the most recent request amongst the players waiting to be summoned
that's why you will see people using red orb and canceling it to refresh the multi system
But that's not the only way to show the system that you're active, everytime you perform an action who triggers the ember on the right corner of your screen it refresh your activity.
Things you can do is take out your convenant and put it back or quickly read players' messages on the ground
Use this to be on the priority Queue for DMB or spear

I just got one through some back tracking, and decided to invade as Hodrick Cosplay. I was hitting people 700-800 WA R2's.
I had a higher win rate than any other build I play invading like this. See someone with a One Shot combo weapon like Gaels? Just Hyper Armor through their combo with the WA R2, out trade them with significantly more defense and poise than them.
I'm even out trading all ultra weapons with it. The second I hit people with it, they panic like fucking crazy.

No. I've had sound problems throughout the game, there are slowdowns when you enter a new area since the emulator is slow to load data into the cache and several times I've had areas fail to load and turn up glowing or just missing altogether and that's ignoring the crashes.

Forced warping is terrible but only DS3 had fo

Warping works in DeS because it's actually part of the story. The Archstones deliberately exist for the purpose of preserving a few pockets of life and allowing souls to be linked to them (aka, warping). You're not exploring some unknown cavern, you're a ghost being sent on a mission to a specific area.

Warping is less good, but acceptable in DS1. It's shitty game design forced by having a rushed second half of the game. Transitions are also terrible but at least the world makes sense.

Warping in DS2 and 3 makes no sense other than "hey yeah this is some extra special feature of the bonfires!" 3 is the worst offender with it's (actual) forced warping. DS2 is the worst offender for transitions because it actually goes AGAINST its own story, by implying hundreds of miles of travel takes place in a few seconds, but in a way that isn't referenced or cared about in the game otherwise at all.

DS1 should have not had the lordvessel, if the latter half of the game was properly designed then anor londo would become your new hub and the other areas would shortcut back to it and firelink.

DS2 should have had a DeS style archstones where you went exploring specific parts of the continent, maybe from the world map in Majula's mansion. Maybe discovering artifacts and warping back to majula to give them to cale would expand the list of explorable regions.

I don't know how to save the trainwreck that is DS3's map, other than maybe give each lord their own continent with DS1 style exploration, and a single point of warping. You go to lordran for aldrich, you go to lothric for princes (and an earlier part for abyss watchers), you go to drangleic for yhorm, etc, but all the mini bosses and connecting areas loop back on each other.

Having miminal stats, I can only use a dagger by two handing it, I had to pay 1500 souls just to be able to raise my DEX enough for a hand axe.

If you beat the boss in AoA, you'll get one for defeating their second phase, and another from the friendly crow dude. There's also one that you can find but climbing down the bridge that lead to the cathedral. Get to the bottom, run past some crabs, kills some trees, and when you walk back, a ladder will appear that'll lead you to a slab.
