Kyle is so handsome, the way his chest is slightly visible and when you look at it, it makes you feel safe. He will protect you with his base and you know you will be just fine. The way he smiles, it just melts my heart. It has a small sense of smugness because he knows his fort will not come down, but also very warm and genuine. His tattoos tell you how dedicated he is to building and constructing, its his whole life and he will never half ass anything. His beard looks like it will tickle you as he kisses you, its very voluminous which means he is high in testosterone. His eyes are so perfect, so sharp and clear. His jeans are very tight, so you know he is clearly packing very well in there, he is taking FULL advantage of the room his jeans gave him. Now look at his shoes, he is wearing heavy duty boots because he is not here to play. He isn't wearing some ninja pajama slippers he is wearing very protective boots because he prepares.

Now lets get to his BASE, it cost 100 energy, pretty much ALL his stamina just to plant down. Everyone else is carrying some tiny baby shurikes, some grenades or a little pokeball to summon a loot llama, but he is carrying a really fucking heavy machine that makes him completely tired when he sets it up. He doesn't have to do that but he does, just for his team. Very supportive.
Also his hair is cute I want to brush my hands in it.

I get that you think Epic have even a vague idea of what they want to do with this game but going off what we have now I just can't picture them treating this as anything other than a 1 time event to draw people in while the game is still buy-in.

Right now we have:
>A terrible RNG system that can essentially lock players out of preferred play styles and useful equipment.
>A pitiful 4 map types that all look exactly the same after a while.
>Months long grind for supplies that are in high demand to unlock hero abilities and weapon traits (that are also RNG in the case of weapons lol)
>Balance issues out the ass that are flat out being ignored by EPIC in favor of nerfing whatever seems the most powerful
>And an underlying complete lack of vision for what they want this game to be when it drops as a free title next year

You can argue that all of these could be fixed but anyone paying attention and playing the game right now will probably agree with me when I say it seems like Epic don't care about fixing all the little things that would help keep players around longer.

I don't want this game to be bad and I don't want it to die, but it will if Epic doesn't shift focus to smoothing out the myriad of issues that drag the experience down in major ways.

TL;DR: I don't think EPIC is really listening to player feedback and I'm not sure they are competent enough to smooth out the game's issues in a satisfying way.

I just heard the devs explain the event structure.
They seriously think that they can treat the game like a massive multiplayer game right out of the gate.
This event will end and they "might" bring it back later.
For some people they don't have an issue with this.
But I do in the case of Fortnite because the gameplay on offer is too anemic to support long time play.
All this structure will do is force the playerbase to come when there's an event on and people will get bored and stop playing if they don't like these events.
The base game isn't even fleshed out yet and these dopes think they can switch to an event cycle and just ignore it.

Why can't they just give the one mission where you prebuild your base with a limited amount of resources they gave you. That mode was the best.

Did you mistake the tact/support/bonus stuff that now applies ONLY to edge weapons as a buff? Because all they did was make it so it ONLY applies to edged weapons now instead of every melee weapon. Likewise, they also made it so several ninja perks no longer cover Edge weapons but just the Sword weapons so axes and scythes just got their asses kicked in. Only thing i'm seeing is the critical damage bonus now being spread to Edge instead of just Sword.

This would be fine if the devs had any idea how loot progression works.

You should start off using greens weapons, then maybe around level 10 start getting a few blues, once you get close to 25 MAYBE start seeing a few Epic items. Legendary should be sporadically rare but should have a level cap before you can use them.
You know, PROGRESSION, like every other fucking game in existence with loot.
But nah I got a legendary siegebreaker in the very first llama I opened and it's completely pointless to use anything else at this point, and have nothing to look forward to no matter how high level I get.

Imagine playing Diablo or Borderlands and you can get the games greatest weapons and items in your first 10 levels. Holy shit what was the point.

Most devs will adjust things to everything (characters, gear, enemies) and slightly bring in better stuff over time. They seem to keep enemies as is or buff them and routinely demolish abilities and gear.
