What are some of your favorite unfinished projects?
Fortnightsfag's game seemed neat. It would've been about an Old West museum, with a centuries-old love triangle being the focus of the story. Going off of what he said, it would've ended bloodily, with the participants being reincarnated into the animatronics. You had a cowboy and a mayor who acted in different opposites, with the cowboy operating a dummy gun. When you activated the gun, the mayor would move to the opposite direction of the Cowboy.

I really like this latest part. Dig Dug getting left to die is strangely foreboding to me for some reason. The kids drowning out the room with their cries, following Frank's advice, felt natural to how they react during skits.

This line made me realize how important of a lesson that'd be to teach at Freddy's after the murders which gets creepy given how Frank's been acting odd and Art's memory at the end.

I like the idea that it literally changes structure at night and the changing decorations aren't hallucinations, so doors you see during the daytime are a few feet away sometimes at night. Or that there just aren't any windows at night. The FNAF 1 pizzeria seemed like the type of place that stuff could happen at.
In the daytime, I got a feeling it would be really eerie. Like the employees themselves are scared of the animatronics. If they wanted to premiere a new character themselves, using scavenged parts from the back room and security guards for instance, people would be completely helpless as to what to do, and would just let them do what they want. I really liked the idea that the pizzeria was way more messed up than spooky ghosts.

I quite liked the "Corporate and management are completely apathetic to what the animatronics do as long as it doesn't affect the bottom line" interpretation of the series, but with the debut of Afton Robotics that interpretation seems to be getting further and firther away. The Silver Eyes is likely to be Scott's movie pitch. It gets enough wrong, and adds in a lot of generic Hollywood tropes like strong female protagonist with daddy issues, PG-13 rating, ect..

It's also worth noting that Scott and whichever big company the movie's with, would like to advertise the animatronics to kids. So them being good guys could easily be put in so they could sell toys. Same for the lack of violence and murder. I would expect this to be around your average superhero film in intensity. The development hell might've been because Scott wanted full creative control.

I still think Rugrats' Purple looks very physically imposing, up there with Paranoid's. Iris, Benis Purple, J's Purple, and Panels' loli Purple would be very quick to die. They just aren't strong enough. Starchy's wouldn't last long either.

This is a really hard and unfair fight given that people seem to either cling to Purple being a pathetic loser who can only manage to kill children because adults are too hard, or Purple is seen as an entity rather than a character and even 'normal'-izing them would put them way above anyone else. It's hard to imagine in any universe a situation where say, J's child molester Purple could kill the Skinman.

I had an idea involving the static, after you die in the game.

After being caught and beaten, right before the final blow that would ultimately kill Mike connects, everything around him bursts into sharp, loud static, overtaking everything in his sight.

But he recalls this situation. He recalls where he is, and he panics. He looks down to confirm that the static is not all there is to it; that he is, in fact, falling down at a rapid pace into an inky black below, mountainous black spires dotting the landscape all around him. But, he also recalls that wherever this is, he's not alone.

In the distance, there is a roar, and his eyes train to it. A miles-long serpent, shifting and flying through the air as it dominates the sky and horizon, stopping dead in its tracks as it begins to advance towards him. It's too far away to be a threat, but Mike recalls the time it nearly snapped him up in its jaws, and what he saw.

The entire creature is composed of animatronic parts. Body parts, heads, all of them comprising a single entity, a single monster, flying through whatever afterlife he finds himself in. The only time he's ever seen the inside of its mouth was right before he fell into the black below, and he recalled seeing that rather than teeth, there were only the upper halves of endoskeletons reaching out to grab him, screaming through broken voice boxes. As Mike nears the ground, he takes solace in the fact that knowing that no matter what, no matter how many times he dies, he'll never truly be dead; he'll end up here, and go right back. But before he enters the dark, he has the small realization that he's been falling for longer than normal; that the ground below is getting farther and farther away each time he doesn't survive.

The story ends with Mike crashing into the blackness. Elsewhere, an unknown time later. Mike stands outside the restaurant, preparing to start his shift for the night.

Either. Let's say we took a traditional FNAF story and tried to stretch it to its absolute limits. The premise is that of a nightguard trying to survive working at the FNAF2 pizzeria. I'm choosing that one instead of the FNAF1 one because of how much larger the cast can be.
So, let's try and fit as many chapters as we reasonably can into the story. How about making each chapter take up an in-game hour? That'll be 6 chapters covering each night. Let's go ahead and say the story takes place over 7 nights rather than 5. That way we can include working overtime and the custom night.
That still only leaves us with 42 chapters, 9 less than Roommates if you don't include the Minis. But wait, maybe this hypothetical story cond still surpass Roommates in word count? Well, not quite. You see, each chapter, which as established earlier would be an in-game hour, would have to be more than 7k words. That's an absurd amount, especially when trying to keep to the one hour limit.
This is where the problem arises. Roommates wasn't a traditional FNAF story, and the overwhelming bulk of it didn't involve anything FNAF-related. That's how it was able to go on for so long. Any story trying to accomplish a similar length would need to either be an AU like Roommates was or something where a very significant chunk of the story takes place outside of the night guard setting. Anything else would fall short by a wide margin. It's possible for a traditional FNAF story to reach that sort of length, but it'd need so much fluff and filler as to be rendered nigh unreadable. On the off chance that anyone starts writing a story that long, they would also need to actually finish it, which nearly no writefag has ever done. The stars would need to align for something to take Roommates' crown as longest story.

As the last of his challenge echoes down the hall, the demonic screech and thumping, piston-driven feet approaching his door tells him that the challenge has been taken.

In moments Bonnie appears after SPRINTING down the hallway. The door is already closed, as is the one to his back. But no door on earth can hold back the wailing of their guitars as their solos clash and mix into a beautiful nightmare of musical mastery. The sheer MIGHT of their duel sustains the power in the restaurant well into the wee hours of the morning where, fingers smoking, muscles aching, and servos crying for mercy, they finish at the same time. As six-o-clock rolls around, Bonnie gives him a solemn nod, acknowledging his skill. She'll be back, and when again the gauntlet of rock is thrown down Mike knows he'll pick it up and throw it in the hellrabbit's face.

Freddy can only weep; he knows he can never match the guard, and thus can never touch him.

Scott's trying to make good games. He's not just sitting around scheming new ways to trick people into buying a bad product. He's making these things and getting praised by reddit for it, so in his mind he's creating good games and writing good books. Unless the subreddit turns on him that's not gonna change, and as we've seen already all that'll accomplish is make him stop making games entirely.
