The way you used black before changing it to this was more fitting imo, for robot masters black is most often used for the inner/upper arms and legs due to PAL limitations and also because those are the parts that shouldn't stand out.

If you use this colour scheme in game, the grey of the legs/arms will stand out, but the current black parts won't be visible enough, unless you use a background that's something like we've ever seen so far

Sorry all I could find after a quick google search was this and the colours looks all wrong on the 1-6 RMs, but this'll do.

Here you can see how common it is to use black for legs/arms, because of how convenient it is due to palette limitations. It's everywhere in the 1-6 RMs, only very few don't use it; and it's still the case for everyone in 7 too.

8 didn't have the same kind of limitations but still half of them use this too. If you're going for a 32 bit artstyle in mind like you said though, this new one could totally fit (just look at Tengu Man for instance), but I still think you should tune it down a little if you go for that, and I still think the previous one was better too.

I absolutely adore NumberSoul and JunkSoul, NumberSoul is overpowered in my opinion and that's probably why it got replaced with that gigantic NumberOpen program in 6.

It may even become something they are obliged to do in later series, until the process is automated in Legends with carbons. Maybe every year or two reploids have appointed development surgery of some sort (surgery isn't exactly the right word for it, it's just the closest I could imagine). Maybe the simulated baby-making parts are only unlocked after they hit the age of consent or something. Reploids can have extremely complex stats that influence the way their bodies and minds develop, like we have genes and whatnot.

I'd imagine child (6yo and up) reploids could be legally acquired by couples, be they human-human (in which case the process would be qualified as adoption), human-reploid or even reploid-reploid, after extensive research into said couple to determine if they'd be capable to raise them. At that time it would be possible to mix and match the reploid's stats (in a reploid-reploid case at least, as I doubt with all the research in the robotics field we wouldn't have delved far enough into genetics to be able to mix and match human genes and reploid stats, at least not as far as the X series) to create the stats for the newborn(?) reploid.

I just spent the better part of half an hour thinking about the multitude of ethical issues reploids in general would bring, and how to circumvent some of them, but I then realized that I was discussing whether Alia had tits or not, so I decided to scrap the rest of this post. And sice the topic of the thread has moved on, it's better like this. Maybe I'll continue tomorrow.
