Don't have any 5120, 3686, or 768 range weapon schematics or random drops, so I'll prob stop testing damage falloff for now. My instinct tells me the actual falloff percentages don't scale linearly with distance given a static gun, so maybe I'll come back to it for that but idk.
I'm fairly positive all the max ranges are exact. The min ranges are accurate to the half-tile, although the snipers might be able to go half a tile further.

One thing of note that happened during testing: I actually couldn't manage to get a headshot with the Over-Under shotgun I had. Not even by jumping over them and shooting from directly above.

Always horde your money. Super llamas are guaranteed gold, so you get at least one legendary. If rares are still an upgrade for you, the 11 for the price of 10 pack is a great buy. There's a gray area in between where you have a lot of rares but could use a lot of epics. No clue what the best option is when you're there.

Book/Scrap the Patrol Wards and all but your best Heal Station. You can't even use them in Transformation. You also should know you can use Trap schematics in Transformation to other stuff as well.

Use Rescue Trooper. that regen is good for lowering nuts farming. Power base dont get bull rush.

Only reason to pick him (and haveing to level a power base either way) is to get bull rush. And if you have fun with that, good for you, that is what its all about.

The only time I enjoyed the game was when they rolled out the temporary game mode: Operation Block Party? Why did I like it?

Because You build your base and its permanent just like stormshields. But you can only used the materials you get in there and you can break down pieces of your base in 1 hit and get your materials refunded. after you built your base you teamed up with 3 people and you all defend each other's bases at random. Think of everyones bases as amplifiers in storm shield defenses, you got to run to them to defend the incoming storm. Also every wave you get materials to craft guns and to enhance your base

Also the waves had modifiers like maybe husks explode on death or more hp or the big ones heal enemies around them when they die. It was very interesting.

Well it was to test it. You also got tickets from surviving all 10 waves, higher difficulty gave you more tickets. You use the tickets to buy special llamas that are predetermined in what they give. Like one will give you a shit ton of exp, one will give you a purple weapon or so. There was a limit on how many llamas there was you could buy and the cost went up everytime. The final llama, the one I worked so hard to earn, let you choose between 2 legendary heroes. It would be random so like pick between soldier and outlander or pick between ninja and constructor.

The legendary heroes were unique ones from a halloween event that they had. You had soldier Jonesy dressed like a skeleton, ninja ken with a llama on his head, penny was a kitty cat and she was hotfix constructor. I forget what outlander had. Maybe he had the llama head as it would make more sense.

So...Realistically i don't NEED 2 mythic ramirez's and 3 legendary headhunters, right? I can book them and ignore the resulting guilt or is there some metameme i'm just too stupid to see for support builds?

If you need Bacon for ENG ammo, then go through houses and restaurants; all the kitchens, every fucking kitchen you can imagine, every container. Soldiers are stronger with ranged weapons and have access to skills like grenades, damage buff for the whole group, a mini gun and some other stuff i don't remember.

Outlanders are fast and more or less gathering oriented and have acces to a small teleport, a turret-bear and other bad/terrible skills.

Ninjas are melee oriented, run faster and can double jump. They also have skills like shirukens, smoke bombs and a large frontal aoe attack.

Constructors are slow but resilients and can built things 10% cheaper than other classes. They have acces to a shield rush, a decoy to taunt ennemies and some machine to make their constructions stronger / reflect damage / self heal.

What is a hero, and what is a class? Are they the same thing? How do you get heroes/classes? Did you just tell me the 4 classes or the 4 heroes? 4 Classes. Multiple heroes with different skill sets for each class. A majority of the heroes can only be received from the RNG Loot Gamble Boxes.

Heroes have rarity of Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic.

Epic and above get access to the full skill set of the hero, whereas Rare and below is limited in their skill set.

As a note: If you get the standard edition, to be able use Ninja, Constructor, or Outlander you must unlock the class in the Skill Tree, so you'll be playing Soldier for quite a few hours before then.

A hero is a playable character, they all have names of course. Every hero is bound to a class. A class is a specialization of sorts, and the person you replied to gave a decent explanation of the four classes. Each hero from each class is different in terms of abilities and such, but they all fill the same roles. Soldiers are ranged DPS, Ninjas are melee DPS, Outlanders are good at exploring and gathering resources, while Constructors are the most durable heroes who excel at building and fortifying structures. As for unlocking new heroes, the primary method is to buy Llamas which are this game's equivalent of loot boxes. You can buy these with V-Bucks, which is this game's paid currency that can also be earned by playing, typically through quests. It's highly recommended to hold onto all V-Bucks until a special Llama is available for purchase. But the game will tell you to buy an upgrade Llama in the tutorial for 100 V-Bucks, so just do it and save everything else. The game will give you access to some basic heroes as you progress, or you could just buy the deluxe pack for $20 extra and have access to more heroes early. I suggest you start with the standard edition because you can always upgrade to other packages at anytime, and if you enjoy the game then go for deluxe. Also, as others have said before there's a big update coming out in the near future so you might want to wait a little if you're not too sure about playing yet and you have the patience.

They should really increase the EXP gain. I think that would be at least one of the best QoL changes they could make. Right now my games are just playing with the same gun because I either don't have enough exp to level a new one or I have to constantly lvl my good one to keep up with the region I'm in.

It's really personal preference as they're both edged. Axes have lower base damage, varied attack speeds, and same or higher crit than scythes. I choose my melee weapons based on the attack style and heavy attacks, personally.

Are these weapons any good? These are the first Legendary schematics I've ever gotten. My best gun right now is a level 10 Copper Old Faithful, and I don't have any other melee schematics. Granted, the bonus stats from the gun might not be the best in the world but I think once upgraded to level 10 it'll beat my old gun in terms of base stats alone. I think I have one or two Active Powercells lying around, so I can easily make a legendary. I don't plan on using melee exclusively, but I like the idea of having one around as a backup weapon, not to mention it'll help save ammo. Also, are rocket launchers any good?

The ranger is a gun that matches the playstyle of quickly headshotting stuff at medium range. Give it a try and see if you like it. Remember that higher rarities of weapons have higher base damage relative to their less rare versions, so not having amazing rolls doesn't make stuff shit.

Crit chance on that gun is not that bad and could crit really often making it good. HS damage is also good on that gun but its not to say that having crit is worse.

Your list is how to achieve max dps for most guns. You gave him a tier list for a specific context without telling him the context. That's just plan misleading.
For example, a 5% crit chance gun with 4 crit damage rolls is almost definitely going to be worse at killing enemies than if it had 3 damage rolls.
Additionally, rolls such as reload speed, mag size, etc, can be very good. And that's before personal preference.

You don't have to explain every gun. If you really need to keep things simple for yourself, you could at least make the distinction between weapons meant for headshots and others.

For a weapon in which you headshot every time, HS damage is virtually always better than crit chance and crit damage. Even if you had both crit chance and crit damage rolls. It's just how the numbers work out.

Difficulty doesn't scale with player count and more players gives you more party bonuses. Soloing gives you time to see how many plant fibers you can search for in every random lootable on the map, but for getting XP or finishing missions, you're only slowing yourself down.

For all the "complexity," the game is fairly simple and repetitive: Find thing. Build wall. Shoot bad guys moving towards thing.

Of course headshots can crit. But a crit headshot uses the sum of the hs dmg modifiers and crit dmg modifiers, it doesn't multiply the modifiers together. A combination of crit chance and crit damage can outperform headshot damage, but you're looking at needing at least 4 rolls, with needing all 5 being more probable.
