So i was just practicing with MV trying to make something simple but i think i got carried away and made something far too big. Start with RTP and finish some games since the workload is easier to deal with. Personally i don't care how it looks i can play anything but i tend to avoid spending actual money on RTP games not because it's RTP but because there's a high possibility that the game is hot garbage not made with love like an RPG should be. Almost everyone starts at the bottom man, After a few RTP games you'll probably move up to RTP parallax mapping edits, It's a common move up.

If you want to get furry bucks without going into porn, look up games that involve "kemono", like Solatorobo and Tail Concerto. They're animals, but cute (mostly). That's just Persona 4 with the personalized dungeons and shadows, as far as I know. I haven't played P1-2 or P5. P3 just had Tarot symbology, which is kinda universal and are aspects you can find in everyone's lives. The Bitter Suite episode I mention also had Tarot Symbology, They kept changing costumes and sets that represented different arcana. The Fool. Justice. Death, ect...

P4 had more build up too. Being part SIM. It would show a week of events providing context about a character life, that would lead up to a dungeon.

In my case, the player is going to entering this dreamscape with no context. But since it's that MC's own dream realm, He can provide insight for the player.

It's got to have 3 parts to it, minimum. That's kind of a rule.
Christmas Carol - visited by 3 spirits.
Try-fail cycles need at least 2 fails before a 3rd attempt that wins, to be effective.

I'm going to re-examine Ar Tonelico cosmosphere levels to see how they break down structure wise. There were more than 3 "steps" to each level. It has to be chopped up like that though, games need to interrupt the story from time to time to keep the player engaged - even if it's pointless. Like prompting the player to select choices that have no consequences, or forcing the player to move the character to the next room to continue a scene, even though there's nothing else they do - it's still engagement.

Depends. If it's like Pokemon with 1 on 1 battles, it's easy.

Capture Item/Skill calls common event when successful.

The common event can simply turn on a switch "captured"

That Troop page has a unique battle event page (When Capture Switch is on) unique to them that specifies the changes to the Blank Actor.
Because it's always 1 on 1, you won't even need to identify what it is because it's a give.

You only need to identify what the Capture Item/Skill hit if there are multiple monsters.
In which case, the common event sets the variable, but using a script call. The syntax might be depending on which maker it is. Something like $game_battle.target.id (but that's off the top of my head and is probably wrong) anyways then with that variable data you can specify what the blank actor needs to be. With the variable method, you don't even need to use Battle Events, and do it all with common events. It's just a different way to do the same thing.

That's basically the same way you would event mug/steal commands.
Forgot to mention you have to turn the "captured" switch back off at the end of the process.
If you leave it on, then you'll automatically capture everything every battle.

Well I haven't even started making my project so for all I know I won't end up getting near 1000 events but in the event that I do I wouldn't mind a failsafe.

It's funny though, when I was trying to search for ways to bypass the event limit most of my results came up as "that's retarded, you're retarded, be more efficient". I mean it probably is retarded but I am curious if its possible.

it's like when someone thinks you need 12 different switches for hours of the day (when you should be using a variable),
or 12 different event pages for your soil square, for each crop you can grow (when you should be using variables, and just change the event graphic manually),
or needing to create a multiple conditionals for each possible value of a variable (when you could be condensing it all into a single? statement),
etc

and in this case, it's thinking you might need 1000 separate common events when you'll very likely not even come close when you finish (ha) the project

Only advice I have to give you is keep practicing and use other games as reference. Also look into color theory. I've been drawing for almost all my life, I think that's what helps me with pixel art. I'm really glad I got you inspired by the way, do you have any pic of your stuff?

Disregarding my clearly indecent mindset, this looks good. The perspective is a bit off, unless that's the purpose of the arrangement of objects in the setting. The woman's hand on the man's shoulder is missing a finger, unless it's just obscured. Lastly, the cheese needs more holes; what self-respecting cheese person would NOT have more holes?

Except that I can't seem to make it work for Animations, because I can't access the animation class and it just wants to read the volume in the database.
