Yes definitely, it is the best game in the series. The visuals are not that bad, you could try using some texture mods/Reshade. The gameplay feels clunky at first but you get used to it. Origins is known for its interesting characters, good story, tactical combat, and a captivating world.

I thought Carver was the better character but didn't like playing a mage in this game and much preferred rogue, which is completely different't to inquisition where I loved being a mage in that because it's the best.

Carver was a jerk and I played as a Mage so I had to deal with that annoying brother. I wish there was an option to choose which sibling you want to sacrifice in the beginning or something like that.

I liked Anders too in Dragon Age 2, but because he was a very tragic character. His personality mismatch with Justice ruined them both. Fenris mistreats every mage because of a few extremist mages from Tevinter, so I think Anders' hate for Fenris was understandable. I don't think he supports slavery regardless of mages being involved or not.

I highly doubt that a new Mass Effect game will be released or even announced at any point in time in the next 5 or so years. Andromeda was a sort of testing of the waters of returning to the IP, but it was terribly mishandled, so they'll probably just stay away for a while. A big factor in this is also the performance of Anthem. If Anthem does exceedingly well, Mass Effect may stay dead, but if it's dead on arrival, we may see an original trilogy remaster in an effort to drum up money to make up for recent goofs.

I dunno that we'll ever get another Mass Effect. Not just because Andromeda crashed and burned. With ME3's ending, Bioware did not adequately plan for an indefinite future for the franchise. They basically terminated it with ME3, especially if you look at the pre-extended cut ending. Andromeda was an attempt to sidestep ME3, but it does't really satisfy.
