ONCE UPON A TIME Nunu was a cancer Top laner. Yes, you read that right. It was a nightmare laning against him because of his Q heal (sustain was rare in these days). Riot, in their infinite wisdom, nerfed the heal on his heal, but buffed the true damage on his Q.

However, as Riot often does, they made a critical error: His Q damage was stronger than Smite at level 1.

Did I mention that counter jungling was a lot more crippling at this time?

Basically, Nunu would begin his clear with your first buff. Then he would move to your wraiths. Then your other buff. Then your Krugs. You'd try to go into his Jungle but he'd have already cleared it some time in between clearing yours.

Jungling against Nunu you were lucky to have a quarter of his CS. It eventually got nerfed, but the memes remain.
