WotW Shima Sakon is bullshit. I mean instant electrified status plus free form combos plus an almost zero-startup grab and two attacks that ignore guard completely. Also hyper armor until you break his ki. It's pretty obvious they stopped caring about the fair part in "hard but fair". I really can't imagine 3kelley or the DLC regions on this "difficulty", assuming I can even make it that far.

Moonlit Snow x3 (Damage x2) affix is actually pretty good. Maybe not optimal but it's pretty fun.

They're not exactly low tier, at least in the sense of not being a good weapon. They're just slightly worse than every other weapon in the game (haven't tried tonfas yet).

They're a one trick pony with lower utility than any other weapon with only one really good combo (god of wind into sign of the cross) and not much else. That being said, sign of the cross is very strong.

Managed to bump myself up 60 levels before the patch hit, now I need 210m for one level. Pretty happy with that. Only problem is now levelling sort of doesn't happen. getting 210m amrita even from WotW missions takes like 3-4+ full mission s to get if you aren't boosting it. If they don't include another missions to farm as easily then I think I might be done levelling at 381. I didn't even bother levelling spirits past 40 either since the 300m investment get at best a 1% or +1 increase on stats.

Also someone who's gud at photoshop needs ot make a william version of this.

While it doesn't grey out when you swap your spirit, the bonuses are gone. My attack dropped from 1597 to 1570, exaclty what the Raiken bonus gives in this set (+27 to Attack and Defense), so it's pretty safe to assume that the CQC damage also goes away

How? The god of wind/iai combo is legitimately strong as fuck and one of the best in the game. They also have a solid parry (the shrike) and the slash that you do after an attack gets blocked that will destroy ki easily. The main other utility is discord and stacking elemental damage. Pretty much none of their attacks leave you open either and their mystic art reduces your ki cost greatly when attacking. They're good at what they do and that is being fast as fuck and having great dps + a fantastic combo.

parries aren't nearly as good as a timely guard to the point I'd rather have a kusari skill like masterful guard that has no follow up, than a good parry like the shrike. Or I could use a 1 kat and have excellent parries and the best timely guard in the game.

I can assure you that they're not slightly worse than other weapons, anon. I mean yeah, 1kat is the go-to weapon for parry based play but that just means it has a different play style and advantages. It's not about the shear quantity of skills a weapon has either.

Also the low stance skill that dodges attacks during recovery is good as well. It's a weapon meant for light armor and fast dodging around and constant dps. The other weapon I main is kusarigama and it has good crowd control and reaper but I still prefer 2kat a little more. Also the 2kat LW is extremely good.

Cheese through zones to get better gear that doesn't do or protect much to get more areas to grind better stuff so that you can get new zones that you need to cheese because everything oneshots you and takes no damage

If you are talking about the guy that wants to rush through WotW, there's a reason for it

The amrita exploit lets you get 300m amrita in one minute, the fastest farming in the entire game and it's almost needed cause Koei Tecmo screwed up the amrita scaling in WotW. Someone did the math with the first enemy in Isle of Demons:

>WotD: 73,766 amrita
>WotW: 103,056 amrita

As you can see, WotW doesn't give that much more amrita than WotD but the cost for leveling after lv 350 skyrockets to half a billion amrita per level

I think they are item drops, so maximise that. Luck boosts your chances of a dropped item being of higher rarity like divine over exotic, rather than getting an item in the first place. i had to do return of the gourd about 40 or 50 times to get one of the texts I needed there and I still don't have all the texts that mission has t offer.

nah it depends on what you want to do with your build. There are grace set bonuses for each element and they look like they could be extremely powerful if you build everything around them. Tsukuyomi is for omnyo builds and has the set bonuses that would let you play it like ninja builds, replenishing omnyo with living weapon, A+ damage bonuses to magic and stuff. If It didn't take a million years to farm all these bits of gear I would've tried some out by now. But the vanilla divine set bonuses are still good depending on what you want to do. Either way you can get all the new bonuses on ethereal gear, plus ethereal has special effects you can't get elsewhere so it's always a strict upgrade over an identical divine piece.

look at the reforging page, effects are grouped into pools. you can only have one effect from each pool active at once. So you can't have both familiarity damage bonus and agility damage bonus effects at the same time. If you have 7 effect slots and you've already filled up 6 with great effects it's likely the last effect pools aren't going to be amazing. Other than pools each slot you are tempering or reforging has nothing special about it though, it's just how lucky you are with RNG.

Yeah I must've done gourd about 50 times to get a text I wanted, on way of the strong. With the best text farming gear I have. Did it once today on way of the wise and I got another text I think for ebony armour, with almost no drop boosting gear on me. Farming texts is a real pain in the ass. The ravenwing rifle one took fucking forever. I also farmed hanzo for his kusarigama text about ten times before i realised I already had it.

Step 1. Cast Sloth> Weakness>Devigorate(you can skip this one if you plan on not getting hit) on the enemy you want deleted.
Step 2. Turn on your Carnage and extraction buff (Steel doesnt stack with carnage, you can pick one or the other)
Step 3. Turn on your living weapon

The enemy is now dead.

Tips on how to play Odachi? I understand it's important to be using the free stance swaps often but I can't figure out which of the finishers feel worth it and which I should just put in another stance link with (or even which ones are even worth my time at all). Yeah. I feel Nioh is closer to Monster Hunter than Dark Souls in terms of dodging and blocking. Like, yeah, dodge if you can, but if the attack is coming out too fast then block. Your playstyle is dependent on what weapon you have and whether it has reach or not. A spear or odachi can get away with dodging most things because they're outside of the big danger zones.

you could stack tatenashi with devigorate, wind, break weapons and still be extremely careful.

I'm doing a kingo kunai build at level 255 and still trucking along just fine into the 3rd region

We honestly need list where ethereals set items can drop. Like Marobashi can drop red demon stuff.

I've used 2kat all the way through WotW with my SotC set that is still lvl 200. It ain't so bad except for farming for an ethereal Futatsu with SotC damage on it.

Mixed Ninja-2kat build, I use Date Masamunes 2kat as my main set and Futatsu as my second for the Master Swordsman buff.

I can kill things just fine with SoTC from behind and Kunai (With weakness tali of course), but I'm sick of being isntantly 1-hit by everything.

Do enemies stop dropping worthwhile stuff after a few runs?

I have absolute shit gear from WotD so everything in WotW oneshots me so I'm at Request from Ginchiyo letting the girl destroy things for me, but even with the falcon and the spider spirits and 10 ochokos, after I reset the level on the shrine, they just drop elixirs and shit
