The Octobrush is far from overpowered. It's good, but not worthy of being nerfed. Not only does it have counters, but it sucks in Turf War and Tower Control. It's good in Rainmaker and decent in Splat Zones though.

Just give it time, and everyone (including you) will get used to dealing with Octobrush users, and the hype will die out. Just like what happened with the Krak-On Roller in Splatoon 1. It's annoying but it's just flavor of the week/month shit.

Luna does have a higher skill floor than Octo if you're not playing recklessly like you did in Splat1 with QRSJ. Its blast can do so much more in terms of terrain abuse, but it's too slow to survive most direct engagements without directs (duh), especially considering semi-regional matchmaking somewhat fixing the lag. You have to have trigger discipline and can't overextend nearly as much as Octo does, and you need to know maps well to know where you can shank someone from outside their line of sight.

Thanks for the Octobrush tip, thought I was supposed to run around holding R2. Doing better now.

I don't mind it, it's possible to carry a team but it's causes more irritation and can make you tilt. At least in my case.

Case in point, I was on a five game win streak then hit a spot where a had a slew of games where my teammates were brining aerosprays in and getting bodied by people using Squelcher's, .52 Gals, and Tri Sloshers. I was using the Gal myself and it felt like I was fighting their entire team by myself. I'm not "MLG" to take them all out by myself. I would manage two and sometimes three. Of course I lost like 4 straight, and got so pissed that for the next two games I'd rush in paranoid my team would constantly get killed that I'd just unintentionally kamikaze over and over again into enemy bombs.

Chargers aren't very gear-dependant anymore now that damage is gone. Just go with some efficiency, recovery, and swim speed. Also don't use chargers in solo queue. They're pretty shit in general right now, and even worse when you get one who can't aim on your team.
