From an outsider's viewpoint, this is a really cool and chilling page. The sense of gravity and startling realism with the way his body just kind of tumbles and goes limp is great, the fact that they don't use any super crazy angles for him landing, it's just one straight view with no dialogue, it left such an impact on me when I first saw it.

Not really and I'm one of those guys that liked the Adventure era and most of the Newgrounds edge and DBZ autism that came out of it.
I think forces itself is trying a little too hard, but if it eases off in future games they might hit a sweet spot.
They definitely have to do more showing and less telling though.
Tails hyping up infinite just killed the mood more than anything.
Had Infinite just been there and kicking ass I would have liked it more.

I feel Lost World and Forces have warmer and more vibrant graphics than Generations, even if they're simpler as a result.
Gens has really busy environments though which made Classic stages harder for me than they should have been.

Unapologetic yes. It's hilarious and an actual nostalgia throwback instead of making Sonic into a bland Mario. No one respects safe choices.
Now I think it's mainly aggressive marketing and the game will be way more tame, but if Sonic becomes a center of attention and its own thing once again while having a non-buggy gameplay, you'll see that it'll attract a huge ton of interest once again.

Also Chester death will make the 2000s wave even more important, don't be surprised if nunumetal becomes a thing. The coincidence is so eerie that you start to wonder if Sega didn't dispatch some Yakuza to the US.

Okay, I'll do it from two directions.

A: This is Sonic's World after being taken over by Eggman. Metal Sonic is a given to be there. Chaos is controllable if the planet is already at the point where Tikal can't do anything. Shadow could be swayed depending on a lot of things, manufactured Maria message, Rouge kidnapped, etc. Zavok EASILY wants revenge and we never saw him die, it was a chekov's gun waiting to be pulled.

B: This is all a way by Infinite to try and mess with Sonic's head. He seems to be able to manipulate those cube things. So the 4 may in fact be just cubes, facsimiles. That may also be why "WOW, HE'S FASTER THAN SONIC". He's not fast, just can manipulate cube versions of himself as after images.
