Junkrat can hit pharah twice and easily with mine. That right there shows that with perfect aim, junkrat has a high TTK. He can rocket jump, he can CC mobile characters.

Symmetra is literally no aiming. The only characters that are bottom of the barrell retard tier is Winston, Symmetra and DVA. You need a very limited understanding of the game to do well with these characters, and no mechanical ability.

Also trap placement is literally a game changer during ult pile showdowns. Defense heros are bad and need buffs. Cherry picking good players doing well with shit heros doesn't mean that their pick rates are really bad above lower skill brackets.

Like widow and hanzo are fine because snipers are really powerful on occasion in the hands of a skilled player. But think about torb and bastion. Being good on one choke on one point on defense on one map is a valid reason for a hero to see buffs.

After d.va was nerfed, everyone thought she was unusable and shit. Then for quite literally no reason she became meta and was seen as overpowered.
The meta is arbitrary, defense heroes are fantastic. You go up against torbs who can't aim so you think you do well but any torb with aim could double tap you.
The reason people don't play defense heroes is they are percieved as low skill so people choose not to play them even though they're insanely powerful. Because people choose not to use them, it creates the perception that they're bad even though they're not. The only people willing to experiment are bronzies. Yet when you do finally get grandmaster players playing defense heroes, they realize "oh shit this character's insane"
The exact same fucking thing happened to sombra, for the longest time she was a throw hero then in the past two months, without any buffs whatsoever, the meta at the very top has become "you have to pick sombra on 2cp or you lose"
it is all completely and entirely arbitrary.
