Mori seems to be trying to do two things.
RWBY's inclusion is part of a marketing push in Japan to increase the number of sales for it and create more hype.
UNIEL's inclusion is for the west, trying to get more recognition and excitement for a relative unknown given how niche anime fighters are over here.

The use of BB and Persona being two powerhouse franchises, moreso BB than P4A to increase numbers of potential sales for all four parties included.
So yeah, he's trying to make a push.

He may also use this to gauge potential interest in a RWBY game of his own, given his expressed interest.

Its a definite possibility but not one that I am sure of.
For the golden age of crossovers we need revivals of old games coming in, creation f new IP's and more than any of that, a large basis for these games.
Currently speaking there are a handful of active communities to these games and most drift from one game to the next, but they have a short lifespan because of the high skill-limit for getting good at them.
So to compensate there has to be a highly simplified "entry level" for these game or there has to be a system that sorts players into a certain skill pool till they get better and advance.

Creating new IP's would generate interest as long as the games look fun and are sufficiently beginner friendly like Arcana Heart (something I wish was appearing the in the crossover truth be told).
But that means advertising and the west isn't too big on advertising and unpopular product like fighting games. BBCTB is a stroke of genius in that regard since it advertises itself over four fandoms.

But for a potential Golden Era to being the west has to join in too, creating new and reviving old games for the sake of hype and generating more characters.
Skull Girls was a step in the right direction for that but we can't stop there, we need more.

I can't say for sure until we get real gameplay of the patch, but it seems like her combos should still be intact. It's just her grey health gain is worse (no longer gains it on block) and her air mobility is taking a hit, as is some proration here and there.

Some people really dislike how most of them didn't get a happy ending. But, this story shows Ragna as a True Hero, he started as someone who was strong for jobbers but have to put a fight against some of the cast, was a little selfish, yet at the end, he becomes a much more nicer person, selfless, and enough power to wipe the floors Nine, Izanami and Terumi (Susanoo), and managed to free the world from the "Accept your fate" thing. A few of them got happy ends, others got open endings.
Regardless, I do like the ending.

My waifu got a happy ending so I'm satisfied.
