Why is everyone freaking out about this skill? Most decks are just fine without their skill. Sure, some decks (handless/3SD/etc) are fucked, but a good 75-85% of meta decks are fine. Plus, the user of Shadow Game won't have a skill either, so it's not like they have an advantage there.

So I have 2 Nephthys and I've been using a meme deck that's been pretty fun, but I lack a third copy of a lot of things that would solidify the deck, so I'm torn as to what the other cards should be.

Obviously I'll be using
2x Phoenix of Nephthys (only have 2)
2x Fire King Avatar Yaksha (only have 2)
1x Super Rush Headlong (only have 1)

And I've been using these to combo pretty successfully:
2x Magic Exempler (only have 2)
2x Hand of Nephthys (only need 2)
2x (Tribute to the Doomed (only have and probably only need 2)

Other cards I have I'd consider adding are:
1x Goka, The Pyre of Malice
1x Heavy Knight of the Flame
3x Maiden of Macabre
2x Magical Undertaker
1x Blazing Inpachi
3x Great Angus
1x Red Lotus Knight
3x Fire King Avatar Kirin (Only if I'm messing with Lotus)
3x Fire King Island (Only need 2)
1x Riryoku
1x Molten Destruction
2x Anti-Magic Arrows (Thanks Arcana)
1x Murmur of the Forset (For Fire King Island and pseudo Block Attack)
3x Card of the Soul (I'd only use 1, it can T1 tutor for Nephthys)
1x Magical Reflector (For Fire King Island)
1x Time Wizard (Solely for memes, can be brought back by Exemplar)

Basically, I don't know whether I want to use Fire King Island or Molten Destruction, or whether I want mostly Fire monsters with 1800+ attack or I want to go for Maiden of Macabre for Exemplar synergy and to help diversify against SRH. And then what spell cards I should throw in there. Figure traps aren't worth it because Nephthys will blow them up anyway, but I have a Metalmorph and a Jar of Greed if those matter. Any advice is appreciated.

I've been experimenting with teching in anti magic arrows into my main decks, I'm really impressed so far. I'm fairly sure that the most effective number of em to have is 2.

I've learned that the best way to play them is only when you're near the end of the game. Barring some rare situations, it's not worth it early game because that guarantees they'll be able to respond next turn. Using them when you think you can end it is the most effective for sure.

For your own meme deck, you'll probably be the biggest help. Nephthys is best used with Fire King Island though. Goka isn't bad with Yaksha/Nephthys/FireKingIsland/SRH/WildTornados.

I don't run Nephthys though so I wouldn't know anything past cookie cutter.

Honestly Sphere Kuriboh is the only good thing out of Ult Rising now, and it's still not used in many decks anymore. Since I don't spend much money, I personally find it best just to live without it. It's really good in Nephthys decks unforunately since you nuke your own backrow too. If you don't mind blowing a lot of money then go for it.

I think at this point they'll just appear as roaming duelists to drop Cards that help different Monster Types and/or Archetypes.

Right now we have.

>Yugi Muto for Rocks/Magnet Warriors
>Mokuba for Dragon/Blue-Eyes
>Super Joey for Dragon/Red-Eyes
>Arkana for Spellcaster/Spell/Dark Magician Support.

I can see guys like Bonz, Panic, Rebecca, among other lesser screentime characters appearing as roaming duelists and just dropping support for different things. All the major characters are playable and I think the only other notable villains from Battle City are Marik and Noah.

If they decide to skip Waking the Dragons and go straight to GX that's another story.

Also, I hope the Marik Event makes every Standard Duelist in to a Rare Hunter. Which special appearances by the Twins, Strings and the Exodia guy.

They'll never put any URs in the Ban List or even Limit them. Because that will only drop their Booster sales as people won't be resetting the box as often to get multiples of them like Wyvern, Kuriboh, Gozoki, etc. Also not to mention people will bitch about all the money and gems wasted just to get a Card that will be banned.

That's why Restructed Revolution will get limited. Its a Normal Card anyone can get multiples off without having to waste real money or tons of gems to get.

It's sad but that seems like the system Konami will push.

Newfag here, how long does it take to build anything remotely competitive in this game? Can someone explain to me how limited-time events work and if there's decks that literally can't be played w/o having participated in a certain event? Assuming I didn't have immense amounts of time to grind, is this game even worth playing? How far would $$$ get me in skipping grinding periods?

Maybe I'm just a retard, but I've been browsing various resources for hours and can't seem to learn anything about how difficult it is to obtain the cards necessary to build a given deck, or learn anything about what steps I would take to build a deck once I'd started playing. Every other digital CCG I've played has been super-transparent with how I'd go about building the deck I wanted.

Depends on what type of Deck you want. You can get to King of Games if you invest in Naturia which isn't that hard to get. Other Decks like Toons you'll have to basically wait for the Pegasus Event to happen again and other things like Red-Eyes you'll have to wait for Super Joey to appear and even then because of the shit drops you might not get what you want. Not to mention you'll have to invest heavily in Crimson Kingdom to get the Gozuki, Wyvern and Zombie Red-Eyes. So its hard without investing months in to the game and even then because of RNG you might not get a copy of a crucial card.

Basically, every month they have special events. Roaming Duelist which you can fight to get support cards for various deck types. We also have a Gate Duelist event in which you get points by defeating Standard Duelist which nets you chips/dies/coins to fight that Gate Duelist and get that Duelist as an unlock to use yourself as well as depending on your cumulative score fighting him you'll get rewards of gems, gold, orbs and cards not to mention the drops that Gate Duelist will have. Makes some Cards impossible to get and you could wait a month or more for the chance to get them again.

If you're doing it for fun and something to pass the time as any mobile game, then yes. If you're looking to be competitive but don't have the time to invest then I wouldn't recommend it.

It's not a bad early-access beater. You'll be rolling in R Gems pretty quickly between SD drops and bum pulls in packs, and Light gems aren't the hardest thing to come by depending on what packs you pull from and what LDs you're grinding. Most SDs don't really use many traps, though, so if you're planning on just using it for grinding SDs, you might want to pick something else.

Its mostly just patience. Making a good autoduel deck to fight against Standard Duelists. I wouldn't recommend wasting gate keys dueling Lv10 LDs like the anon here>>183578560 unless you have 3 of every Card they drop.

Lv1 through Lv10 takes 22 Duels at 500XP each.
Lv11 through Lv21 takes 115 Duels at 500XP each.
Lv21 through Lv25 takes 10k XP(20 Duels at 500XP) each. For a total of 40k(80 Duels at 500XP).
Lv25 through Lv30 takes 15k XP(30 Duels at 500XP) each. For a total of 75k(150 Duels at 500XP).
Lv30 through Lv35 takes 20k XP(40 Duels at 500XP) each. For a total of 100k(200 Duels at 500XP).

This is a little guide I made for myself just to know how long I have to get to Lv35. Takes 567 Duels at 500XP. That's assuming you never lose, never do online matches and never fight the Vagabond or participate in 1.5x XP events. Which those other factors I mentioned it could take more duels or less. But its pretty much patience. Its better to not think about it and just stick to someone you like then use him.

Right now, I'm doing it in waves. I get all of them to Lv31 then start over slowly going to get them to Lv35.

They've actually been surprisingly good at giving F2P players competitive options. Mako, Naturia, Toons, Red Eyes Kidmodo/Vanguard, Blue Eyes Kaibaman, etc.

Sure, you can't go out and build a 3x Gozuki REZD deck, but you definitely have options.

Normal summoning it should switch it to attack position automatically.
You can't normal summon monster in defense position unless the card itself says so.

I do decent. I'm behind the curve as F2Pers go and I still feel like I have options. Most of the staples are shit you grind for from LDs anyway, and if you're persistent enough you can get more than enough gems to pull what you need from packs, even with a bit of wiggle room in case you change deck plans midway through.

It will suck for people just getting in, since they'll have missed a lot of the good events and the gems handed out every new pack, but the events are liable to be repeated and there's plenty of gems in the level up rewards and such anyway.
