Depends on what zone you're in lad:

>Ruins
Extra food and keys
>Warrens
Extra herbs, maybe less food, some bandages
>Weald
Extra antivenoms and shovels
>Cove
Extra bandages and shovels, some herbs

Generally you can take 8 torches for any length if you know how to get value out of camping (fully lights your torch so if you explore a lot without torching and then camp you can get value), maybe 1 or 2 extra if you're taking light-based trinkets and want to ensure they work. Food is obv based on mission length, I like to go 12 for short, 20 for medium and 24 for long, just because hunger checks can be a dick.
>>
>>183457139
Experience mostly. There are pre-made lists all over of generally good ideas to take.

More bandages than antivenom in the warrens
More antivenom than bandages in the weald
You can get away with not as much as either in the Ruins and Cove til veteran and champion when you've got high bleed crabs pinching you

Food 8~12 for a Short
12~24 for Medium
24 at least for Long, I never take more than 24.

You can get away with less food in the Weald, Warrens and Cove with medicinal herbs if you find a food curio and no one has a quirk to auto-open it. Gamble at your own risk.
Medicinal Herbs are also good for character that self-debuff when they do things, I never find the debuff on the Leper to be too big of a deal but its good to keep your Hellion clear, or just plan around it.

Characters that can heal themselves and their own blights/bleeds mean you can get away with less bandages and anti-venom.

Torches is up to you, if you want to do a light or dark run.

Raw Damage sucks on the Flesh. Should have gone for DoTs + Stuns

I personally use PD+Abom+HM+Hellion.

All 4 have amazing stun and DoTs with 3 of them having multi-targeting DoTs. Hellion has amazing reach and can nuke the squishy part if they ever appear and can double stun the heads if they ever pop out in the front.. Of course having no healers you might get turned off using it. But at least 2 of them have good self heals with 1 having an okayish, and another one having a mediocre one.

What's a good team comp for the Crew? I've always been able to kill the other bosses without much of a problem, but I've never really gotten the hang of this one. The shuffle just fucks me up.
>>
>>183458432
I'm doing religious-only, so no heretical grave-defilers are allowed
>>
>>183458951
you can cheese it by moving the crew forward or having a virtuous hero be immune to the anchor
>>
>>183458951
Either powerful front liners who can break the anchorman at front or cheese him with a puller who has pulling trinkets.

The only difficult gimmick is the heal he puts on himself when you're weighed down, so stopping that is priority.
>>
>>183458951
Bring a bounty hunter with vengeful kill list/immovable helmet and pull the crew when he spawns the anchorman, which causes him to do nothing the whole fight and disables the entire gimmick

then beat the shit out of him with plague doctors and stuff

They should leave it
>>
>>183459265
probably

>>183459354
the odd thing is the archorman is immune, but not the crew

so its likely they left it on on purpose so new players can discover that weakness themselves

>>183459265
Well it's not in all-caps but yeah I'm one of those fellows

>>
>>183459443

True, like how the Flesh can be made a joke by DoT builds, or how the Brigand Pounder is trivialized by bringing a party with a lot of AoE skills.
>>
>>183458776
>Should have gone for DoTs + Stuns
I had a jester and a flagellant for DoTs. I should have brought stuns however.
I know I should have brought a HM because he is godlike vs the flesh and in the warrens (and everywhere else) but I didn't have one available.
Arbalest was there precisely for her ability to target (almost) all ranks and deal reliable damage to them, she pretty much carried the way to the boss by oneshotting those annoying vomit pigs.

All in all it was still a good run, Jester wouldn't have died if the fucking anuses and spines didn't focus him constantly. The others got away without a scratch basically
>>
>>183459567
Or how the Siren is completely shut down by drinking a whole bunch. Wait a minute, that's fuckin' silly. Only cheese I accept for Siren is tricking her into controlling a garbage hero.
>>
>>183459567
Imagine how unfun and obnoxious it would be if the Canon put down a team-wide protection skill to all the bandits that weren't the cannoneer or if the Flesh was just immune to bleed and blight entirely
>>
>>183459580

>Jester wouldn't have died if the fucking anuses and spines didn't focus him constantly. The others got away without a scratch basically

God I fucking hate when this happens. Everything quickly turns to shit whenever the AI decides to fuck over one of your dudes and ignore the rest.
>>
>>183459790
She's not entirely shutdown, I've blown 2 arbalest flares for the debuff resist while having a party under the influence of holy water and she still managed to talk my Hellion into Lezzing out
>>
>>183459860

Don't give RH any ideas anon or else they'll make a boss with 4 actions next.
>>
Would bringing a Jester to the Heart of Darkness be a bad idea? I'm mainly bringing him so he can stack bleeds and heal stress if need be
>>
Am I the only one who loves the Warrens just cause of how compact the layout is?
>>
>>183461215
I don't like leaving there and having every disease known to man.
>>
>>183461215
I also like it how scouting becomes a real benefit there, lets me avoid so many fights.
>>
>>183459567
>or how the Brigand Pounder is trivialized by bringing a party with a lot of AoE skills
hold the fuck up so the key to the pounder is to bring shit like grapeshot blast, hound's harry and the like instead of focusing the fuseman with single-target and then cleaning up the rest?

I have a lot of favorites for different reasons. For sheer utility I like Occultist, BH, PD and Grave Robber, and I love Leper's lines and personality in general. Abom is also a good one because of how unique he is. My least favorite is Crusader though, he's just bland and vanilla in comparison to most others. Same with Arbalest.

It actually does ruin other players' enjoyment of the game, because they play it blindly, find broken shit like this and don't know they're making the game 100x easier than it is and finish the game feeling wholly unsatisfied. Game devs kinda don't want that happening, especially when the core intention of their game is to be challenging in its own right, not just the self-imposed challenges of restricting yourself from the game's own content. If you want the game to be easier you can always just hack/cheat/mod it, but it's the devs obligation to have the game be balanced to a point where that isn't necessary.

But what about a straight forward move resist debuff? There are move resist buffs like enemy tanks like bone bulwark and that octopus in the coves. Also Leper's personal buff.

Cant remember any who does debuffs tho
>>
>>183470315
You can do that in this game even now with proper play, without going to the extent of taking your hands off the keyboard and watching the man-at-arms riposte everything. If you want a shit-tearing happy fun time there's plenty of hack n slash games all about outclassing the game mechanics, but that's not what Red Hook and many other devs are going for. Turns out different games have different philosophies, and when your philosophy doesn't include "lets just let players steamroll and watch big numbers fly around" (not that that's a strictly bad thing), then they're well within their right to nerf things to keep in line with that.

That's probably why they have to rely on RNG. Take out the randomness and having Leper with ACC trinkets is one such case of how fun it is to just Hew your way through everything.

Because the number of living enemies in the game outnumber those that arent, and even in the Coves, sometimes you can still kill enemies via Bleed.

To balance that out, there needs to be more enemies outright immune to bleed, aka. more undead. enemies.

Yes? I'm talking about why nerfs happen, and those are extreme cases where nerfing is obvious. Stuff like nerfing the jester is a lot more debatable since it isn't clearly detracting from the developers' envisioned 'challenging experience'. Chances are it's to do with "you shouldn't be able to take a skill and now every combat has a maximum of 3 enemies", even if that's hyperbolic. Not really sure what you're getting that unless you thought I thought those videos were still possible.

Best: Bounty. Beastly crits, hits rank 3, good camping skills, is a fucking pimp
Plague Doctor is also a pretty cool chick

Least: Antiquarian. All you do with her is spam cheesey dodge buffs and bloat up your already limited inventory with trinkets (as if money is ever an issue)
Leper is also a direct downgrade from his contemporaries, but I like him for some particular bosses like the Hag and Swine
>>

In Champion only. You can still run pretty much any class lineup in vet dungeons, which I assume is what RH thinks is the farthest the majority of their players will ever reach if we take steam statistics into account.

They basically went fuck it for end game balance.

And leper is a non stunning, barely hitting lump of meat that hits hard when he hits (which is unreliable) you can get more reliable damage off many classes, stress becomes more dangerous that HP in later levels, leper can ONLY PROJECT DAMAGE to FRONT 2 POSITIONS.

Vestal, Houndmaster, Highwayman, Hellion are my sweet babies because high damage, adaptable, able to project and stun wherever i want, can run bleed builds, can get shuffled and wind up stronger because of it

I brought a PD and a Leper to Belly of the Beast and it went extremely smoothly Being able to double-stun the backline and being the only actual viable source of blight is actually a huge boon where bleed isn't strong and the backline is where the danger is (where it is more often than not). I'll admit that the Leper is in dire need of one of his weaknesses being outright removed, be it his trash mobility, non-crazy durability, terrible accuracy or inability to threaten the backline or threaten from the backline, but he's far from "unplayable".

Because this bitch should be resolve 3 if not.

After your next mission, yeah. They'll still level up if you stick them in stress relief or the sanitarium, too

This.

>>183481946

Deckbased Stagecoach option. Supposedly, it takes the classes and turns them into a deck of cards, to ensure that you get a random number of classes to appear on your recruitment list, however it apparently does the opposite as it gives you the same guys over and over, with a tendency to spawn support classes/healers.

This is more apparent when you try to test a new class and it takes forever for it to appear.

Hey guys, with the DLC can I go through a game without getting the crimson curse? I have 99 problems and I would like that vampirism and Old Man Jenkins the vampire hunter to not be one
>>
>>183482572
you can disable/enable the individual parts of the DLC in the menu

With the Flagellant and blood-based Courtyard DLC, I wonder if Red Hook are ever going to do a blight/poison/disease themed DLC? With maybe a front-line blighter to round out the party?
>>
>>183482572
Yeah you can, by either deactivating the CC part of the dlc (getting only districts and the flagellant), or by never doing the first mission, in turn messing up your stress relief and all town events permanently.

Maybe I should give the hater/slayer perks another look. Never felt they were worth locking in before because something like quick reflexes, hard skinned, or precise striker have more overall utility. Then again the quirk system is all RNG so I suppose you have to take what you can get and the hater/slayer perks are the few good ones.
>>
>>183492161
Well you felt wrong because Slayer / Hater quirks are the best in the game.
Only undead type is not worthy of locking but Eldritch / Beast and Human types are all over the place including DD1-4 (E/B) and there are lots of humans in the Weald and Warrens.

Damn that's insanely stupid. I thought it was an RNG roll that got more likely the further you'd walked since the last one but that's even dumber. I actually can't even fathom the point of such a dumb system. It doesn't reflect reality well and it doesn't seem like a good way to add difficulty, just requiring people take max food every time or risk being fucked. The gold is negligible so you'd be stupid not to take a lot making it a non choice.
>>

Haven't played in a while, just getting back into it. Couple of questions. How serious is the crimson curse / what does it do / should I avoid the courtyard until I have decent heroes and everything else under control?
Does radiant mode make things easier or just avoid the grind? Because avoiding grind sounds pretty tempting.
>>
>>183476803
Turns out someone already did it so I stopped.

http://www.nexusmods.com/darkestdungeon/mods/367/?
>>
>>183494318
I think it mostly reduces the grind and gets the game less long overall. Obviously some of it makes the game really easy (you can take lvl3 characters to lvl1 dungeons), but honestly who cares. The hard parts just stay as hard.
>>
>>183479103
Plauge doctor is one of the best classes in the game though.
>>
>>183494318
Aside from taking big guys to weak areas, it makes some Hamlet upgrades cheaper, equipment upgrades cheaper, gives more dodge in Radiant light, and makes bosses appear sooner.

So overall it makes things a bit easier.

Highwayman: This class is for riposte.
>>

http://darkestdungeon.gamepedia.com/Game_Modes

radiant mode increases the defense bonus of high torch by 3.5 dodge

it also allows high level heroes to go into low level missions

lvl 4 max to apprentice and no limit for veteran allowing you to ignore the high level difficulty dungeons

every other change just speeds up the town and hero progression

Starting a new playthrough is rough.Terrible stagecoach RNG can leave you with little to work with. >>
>>183502464

i dont think he will spawn in a dungeon if you bring only 1 cursed hero

with 2 or 3, there's a low chance (20% during medium infestation and 33% during high infestation) while he will have a 75% chance of spawning if you bring all 4 cursed heroes.

sometimes when the fanatic shows up and i dont think i can handle him with my current party, I just cut my losses and abandon immediately. if im feeling a little brave ill explore a bit

I finished the game once without corpses and I should say that no corpses can make certain fights a lot more retarded than it's supposed to be.

Like certain enemies would spam their "escape" abilities and blight / bleed the shit out of you trying to get back on their position but there's no corpse for them to actually move back so they are getting stuck in a constant loop of spamming you with blight / bleed and that's a lot worse.

Corpses help a lot actually, I don't know why would anyone even complain about that mechanic, it's not bad at all.

Corpses do serve some tactical purpose, such as pushing front rows into the back after your own backline has destroyed theirs. Now their front is stuck on the back fumbling their attacks, with about 2-3 corpses blocking their path

You can run into the same situations with corpses on because you can clear them. Corpses generally help enemies far more than they help you because you want them to get out of position and spam things like rushed shot.

If there were no corpses and speed worked differently front liners would become a lot more important because they could put pressure on the backline by forcing them out of position by killing the frontline.

Granary doesn't save you much money since the amount of food is random. Vintners is pretty much required with Crimson Court. Bank is good to start early with, and cartographers is meh like the granary. Overall the districts provide too little for the amount of heirlooms required to get them.

Assuming your occultist doesn't fuck you over, yeah, you should be fine. You have nice stuns/shuffle from PD, pulls from occultist, crusader is always nice in the ruins, and hellion can fuck up rank 4 if - for some reason - your shuffle and pulls don't work on bonetoot.

I don't remember names but the best are
1. +2 blood
2. Bank

Everything else costs shit ton of resources and buffs are pretty insignificant at that point of the game when you can get it (+2 crit for HWM and GR for instance for 100 portraits).

Torch buff can work as bank alternative if you play with the torch. It gives you so much more drops you'd literally sink in money, gems and other stuff.

Why don't you learn it yourself?

Bleed doesn't work well in Cove and Ruins.
Blight doesn't work well in Weald, Warrens and Courtyard.
Everything is viable everywhere, bring Jester / Hound to heal stress. Have stuns. Have a proper healer (Vestal). HWM is my favorite damage dealer.
When you bring someone like Arbalest you should combine it with the other heroes who can mark like HM or BH.

While there's already similar HWM, they could make the vampire hunter class melee-only and add some cool mechanics, maybe even unique quirks like vampire hater / slayer.

Locate : \DarkestDungeon\dlc\580100_crimson_court\features\crimson_court\campaign\town_events

Open the only file there with Notepad ++

At line 65/66 there should be something like "priority : high"

Just delete that line. The event should be called something repeat, I forgot, but it's just under the CC trigger event.

As far as I understand, the event will still happen, but at the same frequency as any other event.

I think it's much better that way because otherwise CC basically locks a whole aspect of the vanilla game behind itself. Which is stupid from a design standpoint, you shouldn't LOSE features for getting a DLC.

>>
>>183533423
I went with BH,HM,OCC,ARB
Full marking party. The idea was to take the big sort of minibosses down as quickly as possible. They have a lot of health and it can be a good idea to really nuke them

Otherwise, you're going to deal with exclusively eldritch/beast monsters, so occ and hm do quite well, as well as beast/eldritch hunting rings, and the ethereal crucifix. Most enemies also have annoying move attacks, so consider either move resistance or shuffling

It can be quite long so make sure you can stress heal and keep yourself sustained.

I've done it and he kept my whole team capped always. But it's kinda RNG heavy, it works very well in the Courtyard cause there are a lot of strong AoE attacks, otherwise you probably would need an Antiquarian to force Guard on him or something.

>>183539560
He's a good healer, but he's too unreliable as enemies can be rather unpredictable with attacks. I'd still run a proper healer like a Vestal or memearab with him. It's difficult getting him to heal when enemies tend to single out your 3 or 4 and ignore him completely.
>>
>>183537961
In the stuff "not to do", you might want to mention giving blood/holy water to flagellants to keep them at low hp, as well as taking them to DD2 instead of a MAA/HWM.

>>183539560
That's how I've done it. The game needed a frontline healer, as you used to be unable to really have two backline fighters cause you couldn't fit a vestal or occ. I guess occ being able to use wyrd reconstruction in 1 an 2 fixes that too.

The heal is fantastic with dudes like the leper or MAA or whatever because it's % based, so with a resurrection collar and junia's head you can easily just heal 50 health on a normal turn.

Once you get him to max stress he starts getting chain heart attacks every other turn. It's super risky but he gets to do redeems/examinations constantly. It made DD2 and Vvulf's incursion super easy.

>>183539845
I've always found ways to keep him down, like feeding him blood or holy water, having him disarm traps, etc.

>>183540053
I feel like I can deal with that RNG more than I can deal with the occultist's RNG. At least you can influence enemy attacks based on their positioning or whatever.

for DD1, keep in mind that it's the SHUFFLING horror that you're gonna face. bring a stress healer. buy out the bandages, but ignore antivenom and shovels. there are no curios or blockades. you can't surprise enemies or be surprised by them, regular scouting is disabled, and there are no nighttime ambushes. there's an ancestor trinket hidden somewhere in there if you're brave enough to search for it.
good luck
>>
>>183540454
It's fairly shit until level 5 because the heal is just so minor before then, especially as it doesn't benefit from +heal skills (with resurrection collar/junia's head/altar of light it would go up to like, 6hp per turn for 18 health overall, but it doesn't.). It works on +healing recieved (if you have a recovery stone or arbalest buff), but it's kind of rare for that to happen, and those things only work on one person at a time.

Also, the self bleed rarely triggers because flag has ironically high bleed resist. Suffer does sort of the same thing (neutralise a DoT on an ally and put a DoT on the flag) but i don't want the +prot to get in the way of the damage he's soaking up.

>>183540770
Watch out for bleeds. The standard enemy attack gives you a 6*3 bleed with it's normal attack. The final boss also shuffles you around (think the shambler).

Most enemies are human or eldritch, so take trinkets for that. The dungeon isn't terribly long, and the boss is separated by a very very long corridoor. Camp then. If you finish the boss, you should go back and get an ancestral trinket left over
>>
>>183541183
This, so bring a Leper.
>>
>>183541230
2x Leper, 2x Arbalest. You even get free bandages for bringing those, can't go wrong.
>>
>>183541183
>>183541221

>>
>>183541708
>I was gonna take 3 scouting
Don't bother.
>>
>>183541708
The double stuns are quite good. I took her myself last time I played it.

All the enemies are reasonably weak to blight. Battlefield medicine can be useful but it's probably better to use bandages 90% of the time, as you could be stunning/blighting/buffing/stabbing instead.
>>
>>183541708
give her something to do if she ends up on the front rows. i think her position requirements are kinda bad for this fight, but she would be great in clearing the dungeon before the boss. maybe if you use her melee build, with that CC set trinket + bloddy herb. if you use her regular build (with blights and stuns), and equip blasphemous vial, she's gonna go crazy in no time at all.
oh, forgot to mention that the first encounter on DD1 is a free stalling fight, so you can take stressed out heroes and heal them in this first fight if you need it.
>>
>>183540256
I don't really follow how giving blood/holy water to flagellants keeps them low and why it shouldn't be done. I brought a Flag and HM to DD2 anyway so your second point doesn't really make sense either.
>>
>>183542262
The flag can be the guy without the torch who tanks the revelations.

Also, giving blood to a normal character damages and stresses them, and giving holy water to a vampire deals a blight.
>>
>>183499785
>>183500557
>>183508419

He's just fuckin boring and lame. Man at Arms is a way better actual tank / aggro soaker, Hellion does way more damage more reliably and Leper has more utility with the body clear / shuffle and damage debuff / self mark. Crusader is the most middle-of-the-road frontliners, all he really has that's special is the amazing camp skills

And one of only 3 good stress heals in the game, and the only one that can go position 1. But I can already tell you don't value stress heals obviously and probably let your party get stressed to shit and back which means you probably suck shit at the game so nothing you say is even valid.
>>
>>183542559
I think the devs should try to kinda rebalance by making stress dealers deal less stress and making damage dealers deal more damage. It kinda sucks that killing the little bone nobles and swine babies and fish wizards is always so much more important than killing the frontliners, who tend to be massive pushovers.

I love the idea behind the leper but it's just never that useful to kill the frontline. He's an expert at fighting enemies that aren't as important.

>>183542835
Being able to stress heal 40 on himself can reverse afflictions pretty easy, and it's an ant night attack thing.

The partywide stressheal is decent if a little pricey.

I wouldn't really count on him just tanking the revelations since he isn't immune to heart attacks, and with the amount of DoTs in the DD2 battles it's still a great risk to let him tank revelations even if he can heal.

The part about blood and holy water is indeed rather understated and underused, but I doubt most players would use their blood/holy water to set up their Flagellant especially in earlygame where blood is in short supply and holy water is best used for curios. Enemies in harder dungeons will also hurt you more so getting low will be a frequent scenario, removing the need to manually get your Flagellant low. Still gonna add it in regardless.
>>
>>183543245
I ended up sitting on a stockpile of like 40 blood halfway through my campaign. It was rare during my earlygame (I had a blood famine before killing the baron and lost about 5 men including both Dismas, Reynauld and my first and only Flagellant) but that was before they patched it and added the blood gathering sidequest

Also I found his massive speed ended up letting him redeem/exaguinate pretty much at the start of every round

What is utter bullshit is how some weak enemies have these ultra-strong attacks that they use when there is only 2 of them left (For example Bone rabble has a 'Final assault' skill that deals high damage + stun)
I understand you hate stalling but come the fuck on

>>

You can't. Your best bet is going through every class' info.darkest file and changing this line

.number_of_cards_in_deck 8 .card_chance 1.0

and set every class you don't need to have 0 cards with 0.0 chances.

I think this only applies for the deck based stagecoach option though
>>
>>183555730
The corpse mechanics are ok in some instances, like the mushroom ones causing blight makes sense and is an ok mechanic. The fish corpses causing bleeding is retarded, and the skeletons reanimating as stronger skeletons is absolutely ridiculous.
I agree on the 'haha this is my FINAL ATTACK' moves though. Rabid Gnashers in particular are an egregious example, since they can spam an attack that does like 2x as much damage and still bleeds.
>>
>>183555804
I read about it on reddit

Apparently one of the main things changes is the entirety of courtyard quest (Remade from the ground up) and infestation mechanic, adding more variety to the mosquito enemies found outside the courtyard instead of only supplicants and mosquitoes who will make the curse spread out of control.
also fanatic rework, now he has his group of zealous followers

>>183556347
>adding more variety to the mosquito enemies found outside the courtyard instead of only supplicants and mosquitoes who will make the curse spread out of control.

Don't Chevaliers, Courtesans and Esquires spawn outside too?
>>
>>183556276
well the fish corpses causing bleed is there because videogames (You already have a corpse that blights, another that spreads disease and one that reanimates so you are lacking one that bleeds).
My main complain about skeleton corpses is not that a rabble can reanimate into a swordsman, but that they reanimate immediately after the round ends instead of waiting 1 round like all the other corpses do, that's stupid

>Rabid Gnashers in particular are an egregious example, since they can spam an attack that does like 2x as much damage and still bleeds.
Actually "Extravagant Mutilation" is not one of the anti-stalling attacks, since they can use it when there is still 4 of them. For what I read on the mod files, it is an attack that can only be used from position 1 and targets pos 1 alone, and a gnasher in pos 1 is 3 times more likely to use this attack than its normal attack. I still think it has no reason to exist though. 4 gnasher parties can already be a pain, specially in PBD where every DoT is stronger

An example of another anti-stalling attack is the pelagic guardian's "leer", that reduces your stress healing and hp healing received and lasts for fucking battles. that's complete faggotry, you always leave the guardians for last, even if you don't want to stall
>>
>>183556509
I think only chevaliers do, at high infestation. I don't know how it has been reworked but according to the modder it is nearing 1.0 release

Croc outside could be cool. But have it be a weakened version cause of no water. Maybe slower and with less skills. No cool rewards other than Trapezohedrons tho.

Yeah, gnasher parties are fucking awful. They're bad enough in the base game.
I agree on the skeletons also, it's total nonsense that they reanimate on their turn, instead of one turn afterwards. It makes this illogical tactic of 'leave the skeleton alive because it will reanimate with full HP' the only one to go with, which means you take extra and needless damage. This is only made worse because of the fact that the only way to remove a corpse pre-emptively is DoT, and skeletons are immune to bleed. Blight only comes from the Plague Doc, and hers aren't even that strong early on, nor can they hit the actually dangerous front line eenemies easily.

Pelagic Guardians are also nonsense, that stacking heal reduction is unfair as all hell. 'Oops you couldn't kill one of the tankiest tank enemies in the game fast enough, enjoy getting absolutely raped in this damage and bleed-heavy dungeon'.

PBD would be a lot better if you could edit things out of it. The potions and extra curio items system is nice, a lot of the other stuff is trash. The improved skills are also interesting, but there are a few other mods that do that also, like 'Classes Unchained' and 'Combat Ovrehaul'

Well you kinda can edit things out of it, even more so now that Silvio made all the documents available to the public

>The improved skills are also interesting, but there are a few other mods that do that also, like 'Classes Unchained' and 'Combat Ovrehaul'
I have never tried those mods, are they any good? I reckon that if they buff your heroes they should also buff the enemies, other wise it would get kinda steamrolly

I mean you can, but you'll need to update the entire thing again whenever DD updates and Silvio rolls out an updated compatible version.

As of now I'm working on porting PBD Trinkets over as well as the Trinket Wagon. There's already "The Hell" mod but honestly it looks like crap and I don't like how it handles the trinkets. I like the Tarots being exclusive to the Wagon so you'll actually need to upgrade it.
>>

>>183559063
Classes Unchained aims to improve some of the weaker skills and add some more synergy between classes, like by giving the Plague Doctor 4 blight/5 rounds at level 1 on her grenades, and giving her knife attack +50% damage on blighted enemies.
Another example is the Highwayman's Grapeshot reducing PROT of enemies hit by 7% at level 1.
Some of the changes are way too good, like making the Vestal's Illuminate ability a 1-target buff that gives +40% DMG, +20% PROT, and +2 ACC to one character for 3 rounds.
Overall it's a decent mod, still trying it out to see if it's balanced or not.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=908501399

This is the other mod, Global Hero Balance. I didn't try it out that much yet, but I remember it doing some interesting things like making the Crusader's basic attack do -20% blight/bleed resist.
I believe it's similar to the Unchained mods, might not be as broken though.

- Plague Doctor : Better bleed, better crowd-controls

- Man-at-arms : Added some self buffs on crush when the hit lands and debuff on retribution
- Leper : Better selfbuff, better crowd-control
- Jester : Hit harder on several skills and stacking heal on Inspiring tune
- Houndmaster : Better stress removal/resist
- Highwayman : A bit stronger and precise on some skills, debuff on grapeshot blast
- Hellion : Self debuff only applies when you hit, globally stronger and better buffs
- Grave Robber : Added debuffs on some skills and self heal on toxin trickery
- Crusader : Trying to add a lot to make his gameplay a bit more interesting rather than just "Hit or Buff". I used debuff on his attacks, small crowd-control and better support skills
- Bounty Hunter : Best Mark skill of the game, generally stronger, trying to distinguish his 2 melee attacks and his 2 hook attacks
- Arbalest : Attacks applies debuffs, battlefield bandage cure blight/bleed, trying to find some use for blindfire
- Abomination : A bit stronger and better selfbuff (removed incompatibility with religious people)
- Antiquarian : I don't care she is useful elsewhere I need her good in combat! Better buffs and dots

It feels like PBD Pleb Edition instead of just PBD Trinkets Edition. I'm doing my own thing right now and porting various trinkets over, as of now I'm doing the well needed Trinket Wagon Mod which actually makes the Trinket Wagon viable (In the expense of making Trinkets cost and sell overall much cheaper) with the long term of goal of piecing together all of PBDs functions separately like more meaningful quirks.

PACKS

LADEN WITH LOOT
>>
>>183563338
yes, As of now I'm porting trinkets and quirks+diseases and backtracking mechanics. (All in separate packages)

I liked in PBD how quirks were actually meaningful (For example, Quick Reflexes is now +2 Speed which is more noticeable than a dinky +1 Speed) and hard to get. And shit like Fast Healer actually made your hero a fast healer by boosting how much heals they received instead of that shitty +20% Heal when in Camp. It's pretty rare that your starting hero gets their quirk chart become unrecognizable. I feel like it gives the hero more lasting characterization

I also like how diseases didn't fucking SPAWN AT THE END OF QUESTS HOLY FUCKING SHIT. But rather just made them more crippling and easier to get depending on the location.

Backtracking is actually viable in PBD since according to Silvio he made it impossible to get Enemy Encounters and Traps while backtracking and hunger procs are supposedly harder to get while backtracking too (Though PBD Maps are larger)

Most of the changes in PBD are bullshit difficult, I recommend just using other mods.
The 'every enemy and their mother causes diseases and they hit with them more often' change is one of the worst. Diseases being stronger in general also sucks.
>>
>>183565173
I don't think you should carry over the disease changes, they're way too crippling for how easy it is for characters to get them. It basically requires bringing disease trinkets any time there is a chance of a disease enemy showing up.

Diseases are way easier to cure in PBD with the bandage camp skill having a 33% Chance to Cure Diseases for some reason, and in a way. Rarer because you can only get them in dungeons now. You can't roll them when leaving dungeons anymore.

>>183567010
I'm not messing with disease chance in enemies. I'm only disabling disease rolling after Quest Completion. I am adding PBD Diseases like The Black Plague and I am thinking of buffing vanilla diseases like in PBD to make them more noticeable but like you, I don't want the fucking courtier's wine giving out diseases and shit nor do I want almost every Warrens and Weald enemy to be infected with Aids Cancer. You can use a combination of mods to make the game have similar changes to PBD, without the bullshit.
Unchained Heroes+Trinket Overhaul+Mega Trinkets Pack+Larger Roster is pretty good, there's The Hell which adds some of the stuff from PBD, although some of it is unbalanced (the potions are a tad too strong for how cheap they are) and it also gives you some new trinkets.

Global Hero Balance does similar stuff to PBD for Hero skills, although it is different changes.

As a side note, what are everyone's favorite class mods?
>>
>>183565173
Honestly PBD would be fine if
>Get rid of the Ambuscading (Susprises the party no matter what, utter bullshit) affix. Also make it so gnashers can't spawn with the plagued (Weak but spreads the black plague disease) affix
>Get rid of the anti-stalling attacks of enemies (Rabble's Final assault, Guardian's Leer, etc). They will use it even if you are not actually trying to stall and there is no reason why a bone rabble -2nd weakest enemy in the game- should suddenly become a real threat

>>183567287
>the bandage camp skill having a 33% Chance to Cure Diseases
15% actually. And while it is true you can no longer get them when leaving dungeons, you have a lot more enemies capable of spreading disease (even the bone nobles for example) and some reworked curio interactions have disease as a negative outcome

I'd really go with the Vestal because you're likely to be taking a lot of blanket fires. GR is your best pick due to her insane accuracy coupled with damage, but something like an Arbalest or Houndmaster would do just fine.

Looking at the tavern.building file, and it seems that there's indeed a chance to lose trinkets, and the file hadn't been modified since installation so I don't think a mod did this. I guess it's just so obscenely rare that there's next to no documentation about this except a vague comment in a steam discussion thread.

(snort) or doggo man are good choices for a position 3 secondary damage dealer. Alternatively bring a vestal because >>183574051 is right, and champ brigand damage will quickly add up.

My personal favorite party for this boss is Vestal HM BH Hellion

Boop. Here's the PBD Trinket Wagon Mod. It makes the Trinket Wagon not shit (With the side effect of having your trinkets sans Ancestral ones sell for shit) and adds 22 new trinkets that can only be acquired through the wagon. Its effects are more greatly noticed if you're starting a new save or in early game since you'll be struggling for trinkets during that phase.

i'm pretty late into the game at ~100 weeks in, still playing vanilla. don't want to deal with this curse and mosquito bullshit, just want to finish the game. is CC worth it (not money-wise) just for districts and flag? do i get new trinkets if i don't enable the courtyard?

I mean if you "just want to finish the game" then districts aren't worth it because you're vastly extending the heirloom-farming time to get moderate but unnecessary buffs to your hamlet. You don't get the new trinkets, and the flagellant is arguably overpowered so if you want to spend $10 on making a game you've basically finished easier then go ahead. The CC part is activateable on pre-existing saves, even ones that have beaten the final boss, so if you still feel like playing after that then you can try it out. It's really not as bad as the shitters who suck at managing their hamlet make it out to be.

100k is nothing if you are actually spending your money well with locking in and removing quirks and properly upgrading your guys skills, armor, and weapons coupled with picking up anything interesting in the wagon.

I'd be happy for just these 3 as of now. Just for additional content beyond what PBD already has. As for sketches... well no not really.

Oops, change that to "While in Camp". It's to buff both his Stress Healing Skills.

He ended up killing almost all of my party personally. The flagellant survived by spamming heal attack and applying bleed while surviving multiple death checks. Worst part was I didn't even mean to fight him.

oh, I didn't knew those were for a mod last time, I tough you just wanted random art.

I'll give it a go once I get home (4hours from now). Dunno how hard it will be but I'm pretty sure I should be able to have it done for later today.
