Between morrowind, oblivion and skyrim, one is the best for underwater/sea mods?

Is there a way to fix textures "popping" in and out while travelling? I'd much like to see them fade in because it's not as immersion breaking. I'm mainly using Skyrim Flora Overhaul, I don't know if that prevents the fade-in effect since it adds trees and bushes and such.

If you are not using it, install Mod Organizer. It seems that something is overwriting your current textures, people post similar issues nearly daily and 99% of the cases its because they use NMM.

If you are using Mod Organizer or just installed it, take your skin textures and move them to the bottom in the left window of mod organizer. There should be a little yellow sign with a green" + ", they are overwriting something. Double click the tiny lightning sign with the green " + " and then in the new window that opens, click on "Conflicts". There you will see where these textures you dont want are.


Also, you have a mesh seam.

This usually has 2 causes:

One, your are using UNP or CBBE clothing and are not using the appropriate body (CBBE for CBBE clothing, UNP for UNP clothing), if this is the case, make sure to fix this by using the proper body (protip: its UNP)

and the other cause is that you are loading a preset that was saved on a 0-50 weight body (find the weight slider in racemenu) and something went wrong, or the head was imported through sculpt and also placed on a low weight body.
Your body should always be weight 100, there are basically next to zero reason to use anything lower for normal characters.

Also: Make sure to doublecheck when installing textures, even if they are using an installer.

The textures folder MUST contain files with these endings:

.dds
_msn.dds
_s.dds
_sk.dds
And their names are "femalebody_1, femalehands_1 and femalehead"

I dont know a single one. I learned everything by simply opening photoshop and clicking around on things, hours upon hours of trial and error.

I did ask around on /tesg/, but the only guy who knows anything about textures here is eiries, so he was the only one who could help a little, even tho he uses gimp. You gotta have to google a lot for specific things and often you will just have to trial and error stuff until it suddenly works

I had tried that one. From the descriptions, I thought it did had the flames but in-game only the vanilla weapons had the proper flame effects while the new weapons had a swirly energy thing going around them (and not proper flames).

morrowind hands down. You can fight underwater and plenty of locations to dive thru including caverns and pearls to collect *mods for thast*. Also with a few mods you get fish and other things .

The other 2 games are babbys first guppy compared to what morrowind offers for underwater.

Mer-race mod adds an underwater city and various things but it's not better bodies. I have that and a few other sea race mods going along with some underwater temples and whatnot.

I'd start there and dig thru the nexus and morrowind modding history and you'll have plenty of undersea goodness to get comfy with

So there's a strange something going on with my game.

It seems that the textures simply aren't loading fast enough, leading to CTDs. It typically starts out with seeing something purple and untextured, followed by a crash. Is there any way to fix this?
