FE has RNG stat spreads, the most exciting thing going on for the playable units are their designs and voices, you don't have much control over how battles actually carry over, and the story is the usual FE plot.

DeSu has demon fusions, a fully customizable MC, party members who can switch between all sorts of different skills, a fun battle system, and it offers a fair challenge with way less RNG involved. And while the story is up to debate between whether it is so shit it's enjoyable or if it's simply shit, at least it differs enough from the first game to feel like its own thing.

But I just consider the DeSu games to be all around better than the FE series.

I finished smt4 recently and I agree, it's a bit too easy indeed. You may have trouble with a boss in Ikebukuro, but that's a small may. If you're going through it at the rate I think you are, then you should have no problem progressing through the battles in the game.
And I think you're decently leveled, levels only matter for fusion in SMT.

how the actual fuck are you supposed to beat vishnu flynn? Im getting my fucking dick minced like never before in a smt game. It usually ends in like 3 turns when he powers up and does his almighty attack for like 400-500 damage then finishes everyone off. How do you even deal with him? The second phase wasn't so bad because of his weaknesses, I got close but died. It feels like all RNG whether or not he does his almighty move Antichthon.

It's very satisfying to collect them and looking at their bizarre art at my leisure then reading up on their lore and imagining how they'd work out in real life.

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
If you want to just rush through to the endings and not have to worry about buying demons again, and getting all your apps back, go for Reincarnation. If you don't care about that, and want to just play the game like it was fresh with the added benefit of still buying lvl99 demons, do New Life.

Beating SMT4 on any ending nets you these bonuses:
>Paragon's Earring
>4 Bead
>2 Balm of Rising
>Gold Death Mask
>4 Heavy Grimoire DO NOT use these until you get to higher levels. They immediately bring your "EXP to next level" down to 0, and wasting them while you're level 10 is not something you want to do.
