Should I buy GG or BB?

I really dont understand sfv or street fighter in general ive been playing for roughly 4 months i play cammy and chun i've spent houses and hours learning how to do their combos without fail, learning the range of their normals, frame data of their moves and have a general idea of whats safe and unsafe from most of the cast. Yet im losing to players who i feel just press random buttons. It just feels like every button i press either gets blocked or punished i just really dont understand how to "get in" other than doing a jump in or punishing something super minus. Im no where good at the game obviously but i feel like the people i lose to know less about how to play their character than I do which is frustrating. The only way i seem to win games is either playing footsies with chun as best i can then either punish their mistakes or miraculously doing damage after losing most of my health cammy i dont even know i only seem to win if i get a KD then just keep doing meatys or again miraculously doing damage after losing most of my health how do you play aggressive in this game or better yet how am i supposed to properly play this game?

Play Johnny. has some of the most oppressive normals in the game, you keep someone in blockstun until they grace a button and you counter hit them and shit out damage. once they're so scared of pressing anything because you took 70% in one combo you feint and dash up throw them. or play Sol for the same gameplay but easier to do with less reward. also have a DP just in case and can play more wild with sol. I think they both get the most mileage out of setting up frame traps and both have an amazing throw game.

The other guys have no excuse though, but they did do it with some of them, like Sim's beard, Guile getting a promotion, and Bison going gray. The SFIII characters are kinda cool too, since Alex doesn't have those scars from his suspenders yet, and Urien can only have his metallic armor on for a one hit, whereas in III he has it the whole match.

What DOESN'T make sense is Akuma getting that huge mane only to shave it off in III, and Ibuki going from Ninja Gi in IV, to a schoolgirl outfit in V, then back to the exact same Ninja Gi in III

Tokido is the only one to master his character so far, in my opinion. Xian was on his way to mastering Fang, before he dropped him. Not even Daigo has unlocked Ryu's potential yet.

+R literally has without any contest and nothing even on the same level, the worst fucking netcode out of any fighter I've tried on PC. Even games that get some shit for their netcode or what I've heard, like steam version of 2k2 UM, it's very much playable if the ping doesn't go much over 100, but +R netcode is literally so bad that if you play someone you would have 10-20 ping to, it feels like a 6 frame delay connection on xrd, shit is fucking wild how it's even possible to be that bad. Can't do any combos or anything. I remember going into ranked and somehow miraculously finding matches against what I presume were americans, so it was a europe-NA connection, which is normally pretty bad and not necessarily playable but at least you can follow the game, there was literally like a 5 second delay between my button presses and when they came out, and this is not an exaggeration

1. Bridget is a complex character and hard to become good with.
2. Bridget was nerfed in every new version of XX. He's bottom tier in both AC and AC+R, the versions which have had the most longetivity.
3. XX didn't have online, so the "actual players" you speak of are basically those who lived near a scene and could go to tournaments. The majority of people didn't go to tournaments and without online you can't know who played them.
4. Plenty of people played XX in their teenage years and are now adults, meaning they're likely better at the game and can afford to go to tournaments.

she can't punish mildly unsafe moves well because her fastest normals have insanely bad range in a game about stubby normals. On top of that, she's got to manually power up her special moves or else her combo routes are limited so her opening few moves during a match are often always backdash-> stocks. Her damage output is very situational. For every good chunk of damage Juri gets your opponent can do hell of a lot more on average, so when it comes to momentum she gets one or two good chances to do decent damage and that's it. You may not get another one.

If you don't plan to play on super competitive level play who you want, I have fun learning Juri as another boredom project and seeing how it goes.
