If you already have the DLC downloaded, go to your mlc01 folder, then find the TitleID that is BotW's (it should be 00050000), make a new folder named aoc if you don't already, then paste the DLC in there. Pic related should be the final result. If that doesn't work, install the new cemu update and try this again.

Nevermind, turned out the reason it wasn't working was because Mapleseed doesn't have the newest update (v97). I ended up download Wiiu Usb helper and installing the update using that, got the DLC working but for some reason the DLC content has no text, I'll reinstall it using USB helper and that will probably fix it

First play through I found Selmie's spot by accident from the wrong direction. Last time I didn't even find the escape cabin at the bottom of the mountain. Fun to find it and follow path on this run.

Using some supposed crash fixes on Cemu. Spammed runes and haven't crashed. Yet. Perhaps I can brave this Master Mode invisible HUD run after all, and if I'm insane enough a second trial of the sword run on Master Mode assuming rune crashes/general crashes are now reduced to an absolute minimum, but knowing my luck it will crash at the worst time. I don't feel as though I can go back to normal mode, even for something I said was mainly going to be for screenshots. But man, being back on a big screen at 5K really gives me a greater sense of scale with the environment, rather than looking at it through the Switch screen.

I'll be a bit more specific. This exe is 1.8.1t1. Before I was using 1.8.1b or whatever. Only just come back after almost two weeks and checking any updates to see if anyone reduced crashing, and found that. If the performance and stability hold up I might continue this run, though I've made quite some progress on my Switch Master Mode run having done the sword trials on it already. Reluctant to go through that again, though this time I'll have a pro controller and a big screen. Maybe a second time won't be as frustrating, plus I know some strategies for dealing with the likes of the infamous dual silver Lizalfos room and everything else. I didn't want to do it again on Cemu if the chance of it crashing while using runes was too high for the number of times I'd be using them.

I assume there will be some appropriate length to it. Surely it won't be some crappy short dungeon and a couple of cut-scenes. I imagine that would make a few people rather annoyed.

If you get returned to the point before you did the DLC 2 story and the final boss, it feels like there won't be any point collecting anything during the DLC 2 if it just gets reverted, unless it'll be that short where it wouldn't matter (like another Beast length dungeon). But then that would make for an underwhelming DLC even if it ends up being something decent in itself. Games have made entire new map segments with DLC for around the same price of the current pass, if not less.

I love this game I truly do, but I'm feeling rather cautious about this. Hopefully I'm just worrying too much and they'll handle it properly. I hope. Though they've never done this kind of thing before with the series.

Farm a few horn shards, mix them in with four attack up foods like mighty bananas or whatever. Eat them just before returning the sword.Not as important for the final trials. I used defence up 3 for that. Also eat some hearty food to boost your hearts if they're not already up. When in doubt, just look up some strategies and save yourself becoming insane. There are optimal ways to do certain things.

Ehh, I like farming Farosh. If you sleep til morning off Farosh tower and bust your ass, you can catch Farosh coming off the waterfall nearby within 30 seconds or so.

The rough strategies to do things are fine, I actually enjoy the whole resourcefullness aspect of it. My main beef is that on the beginner floors I was tossing bombs and shit because my weapons weren't lasting long enough and it was boring as fuck, so I felt like a bit of a boost was enough to probably breathe life back into it.

Bombs and attack up 3 are pretty necessary I feel for the beginner trials. The parts I seemed to have most trouble with first time doing it were Floor 8 on the beginner trials (Floor 10 is not as bad with the right strategy and tools), the dark room with the silver boko on the middle trials, the last section on the middle trials and I guess the ice section on the final trials (though I got past first time just about). The last section of the final trials is so easy if you find all the ancient arrows. The ice section on the middle trials has a gold boko and a gold moblin at some point, but if you isolate them and have good weapons you should be able to manage them.

I might not have had as bad of a time on some areas that I make out, but now that I've completed it once I'm having another go. Hopefully being hardened from the first time makes the second time go a lot smoother.

Just finished the beginner trails, are the rest of the trails this easy or do I have to play them on master for a challenge? I found I could just kite and bombspam 90% of floors and the other 10% weren't hard either.

Even floor 10 which I heard so much about was pretty easy, if tedious.

Base BotW isn't way too hard. Master Mode is significantly more so on the damage sponge and healing aspects in terms of your weapons lasting and the required aggression.

The only real tricky part is when you have to fight groups you aren't generally used to fighting.
Like two trial guardians at the same time, or a lynel in an army of mounted bokoblins covered by a guardian turret.
But there are some ancient arrows you can find and hold onto to make that second one easier.

I don't understand all the hate for floor 10. It was pretty easy if you know how to stealth. As soon as you enter the room, do a 180 and use cryosis and hide behind that. So completing the Sword Trials on Master Mode triggered a fuckhuge amount of enemy scaling.

Follow the gerudo canyon road. There's a shrine on the cliff near a turn in the road, and on top there's three gorons who want you to do a challenge. Complete it and you get a shrine. Have to beat Gut Check Rock first though.
