Athena was introduced in the first case with a personal connection to the defendant, and she chose to become a lawyer to overcome her PTSD. She fails in that trial due to being on her own.

Earlier in the timeline when we play a full case as her, Apollo shores up her weaknesses so that she can win her first case.

Her past and Apollo's mistrust cause further issues until Wright and Apollo help her confront the killer of her mom. She has renewed confidence.

Compared to Apollo who has no arc, that's pretty good.

He then brushed his teeth with a pint of beer in one hand and a toothbrush forgotten in the other, stepped outside for a quick stab, and went to bed. The server presumably deactivated some time between the Mars bar exploding and his eleventh stabbing.

Manfred penalises in the same way other AA prosecutors do, they point out something stupid the defence has done, and the judge agrees in the background, and sometimes foreground. But Manfred isn't just doing that that simply, he achieves that effect by intimidating in instances where others would just straightforwardly call you out and ask for a penalty. He does sometimes get you penalised just because he has that influence, but he is never doing it himself.

As the first anon said, at no point do Manfreds get to play with the judge buttons to roleplay.
