So I've looked over this and I've figured out that the best attack to beat this guy is Tsubame Gaeshi. See, he's immune to the first attack, right. So that's bad. And the second attack, and attacks after. And he comes back. However, he is nowhere near the level of that swallow.

See, Tsubame Gaeshi is three simultaneous attacks. But as only one can be the first attack, only one of the three can be neutralized. But since they're all at the same time, the other two can't be subsequent attacks. Further, when the attack kills him, and he continues, he'll still have the second of those two attacks kill him. So it's two kills at once.

Essentially, Powerwank characters are just bigger swallows.

Arthur was able to beat Beast IV at the end of Fragments since it was specifically noted that the heads had not formed yet, and the crowns had not formed, Potnia had not taken place yet. He shot it down with two Excaliblasts and the other six servants giving him a spirit bomb of some sort before it could fully form and become unstoppable. Manaka doesn't have authority, only BoR did, and even in Fragments he never reached his fully form.

Sure maybe the full form Beast IV with Potnia will appear in Prototype sequel/original and he'll have to deal with it then, but that's not fully written yet. Also we already know that Beast IV gets away at the end of Prototype and Arthur is still chasing it.

I really wonder how that works out. I mean, Beast III/R seems to have manifested independently, with no apparent tangible relation to III/L. We don't even know if III/L has came into being somewhere in proximity to III/R, both at the same time, or if III/L has even come into being at all. There might not be a III/L yet, as far as we can know for certain.

Manaka was running around 666's incubator, but we don't know if she herself could be considered either VI/L or VI/R at the end of Fragments. If she had the potential to be either one, she might not have attained the position until the moment when 666 had fully formed.

But to make things more complicated, we can't know for sure that Manaka was meant to be either VI/L or VI/R. She's very clearly filling the role of a mother for 666, as the text points out in the narration and dialogue, but we can't know for a fact that she would be either L or R unless she was confirmed to be one of them. And there's the idea that she'd be the side opposite to 666, but even that can be nuanced, because at the end of Fragments we know her soul was absorbed by the embryonic 666. There's a slim possibility that 666 and Manaka are joined as one, either as L or R, and the opposite side of them is meant to be occupied by some other entity altogether.

There's plenty of leeway to play around with this stuff.

Either way, Independent Manifestation is the Beast Class Skill. Kiara, Tiamat, and Goetia all have been confirmed to have it; Manaka demonstrates something close to it; and Fou we don't have a stat sheet on.

I'm mostly curious about how they'll do with Manaka if and when she does appear in FGO. Her character revolves so much around Arthur, if you put her as a main antagonist in a story you gotta jump through some hoops to make it not an Arthur story. Her zeroing in on a single character with whom she has a lot of history, might not be the best thing for a story like FGO where people like to see the ensemble get its outing.

I don't dislike Arthur, but I also don't wanna see the story become more about him than about the characters around him.

In FSN original draft, which basically was Prototype, it was originally going to be BoR in the grail as final boss. Which ended up happening in Prototype. Eventually just like many other ideas in the script Nasu changed it, he changed it to Angry Manyu. Shirou's gender and everything about his character aside from being suicidal also changed.

I gotta say some of the shit they changed from the original draft would have made the story make more sense. BoR fits thematically as final boss a lot better than Angya.
