Watch Aris's tutorials on the Avoiding the Puddle YouTube page. Then go into training mode and spend weeks at a time refining your movement. In twenty years you'll be playing Kazuya just as well as Knee.
EWGF is a useful as fuck tool but it's not this infallible god button. Learning to consistently hell sweep will be way more rewarding. The execution will come in time, play who you want in the mean time. Check out Kaz's TekkenZaibatsu page, too.

"For one, he doesn't have many offensive options. df1 and df4 are good mid pokes, but they're -frames and the df4,1+2 extension while m,m , it doesn't jail and can be interrupted. Almost every other m,m option is not safe on block or can be interrupted & slow. Most of his strings end in High, and his lows are ok. d3(2) is prob his best low, but it's slow and doesn't give advantage on hit. db2 is good damage and crushes high, but the reach is shit - you gotta be up close for that. His only +f on block pressure tool is running 2. But unlike other characters' running 2s, his seems to start slower. I've been CH out of running 2 where with Claudio, Drag or Alisa I've never been CH out of it.

Combo damage is good when it connects. Against some characters his big damage combo will whiff so you have to be aware and adjust accordingly.

Punishment outside of d2 for launch or 1,2 for anything below launch punish is non-existent. He has no 11f~13f move from standing. For WS punish it's better but he only really has a 11f, 13f, 14f option and the launch punish from ws is like 20f+ (unless you crouch cancel d2).

But if you like him play him. If you can do well with Gigas then I'd say you will have amazing fundamentals, because it is work to win with him. Hella fun either way."

When you press the touchpad on PS4 you can see their highest rank. I have fought Usurpers as an Expert playing different characters which get a lower rank. Kind of unfair for us noobs.

Rule of Thumb:

Find a move that is safe on block, and use it after a move that is +enough on hit/block that the safe on block move will beat out a jab.

So for Asuka something like 1 on hit into 1+2. If they keep blocking, you're safe. If they hit a button, they eat the 1+2, IIRC.
