I just strumbled into some japanese guy using H3 Nozzlenoze D that was using some hacks. He was able to change the colors of the ink and make everyone see the changed colors. The opposing team had a darker green colored ink.
That was pretty neat, but too bad I lost the match thanks to the same hacker who also used a flying hack too and was somehow able to move the Rainmaker to an inappropriate out of bounds area, though.

Can someone explain to me how to enable y axis and motion controls at the same time. Its fucking atrocious not to be able to use the y axis while having motion controls enable. Motion controls are great because they allow for quick input correction with greater accuracy than just the stick, but fuck no y axis is too big of a tradeoff.

You're supposed to primarily use motion controls, and only touch the stick to not sit at 90 degrees angle to TV every time you need to look back, not use stick and correct with gyros like you want to do. You do quick flicks to get in position and put your fingers back on jump button, if it had X-axis it'd disturb your vertical aim every time you did that. Reset the camera in a comfy position and you'll never see the need to adjust it, there's only 180 degrees of in-game rotation on y-axis of which uppermost ~50 is rarely used, as opposed to unlimited x-axis.

It's not crippling, it's just different, and trust a Splat1 player- it is better. Zelda's controls may seem similar, but it has a very different idea behind- stick controls and gyros help, that's why they have very low sensitivity. Splatoon has high sensitivity on gyros, larger, fast-moving targets, faster pace overall, straight-flying bullets as opposed to arced arrows, little need to aim up and is overall a different game with different needs, Zelda's laid-back approach won't fly there.

Create a New JP Account
1. Create a new Nintendo Account at https://accounts.nintendo.com/
2. Set Country of Residence to Japan and finalize the process.
3. Go to your switch and create a new user.
4. Click on the option that says Sign In and Link. Login with your new JP account you just created.
5. When you go the eShop on the Switch everything should be in moonrunes now.
6. Find the Splatoon Demo and click it. Then find ダウンロード to download.

Using an existing NA/EU Account
1. Go to https://accounts.nintendo.com/.
2. Login to your existing Nintendo Account.
3. On the User Info Tab, click on the edit button on the Profile Section.
4. Change your Country of Residence to Japan.
5. When you go the eShop on the Switch everything should be in moonrunes now.
6. Find the Splatoon Demo and click it. Then find ダウンロード to download.
7. To Switch™ back to your region's eShop, go back to step one and change your Country of Residence to the appropriate one. You can also do this to get the NA or EU Splatfest you don't have.
