Share your story /lolg/, how'd you start playing League and why are you still playing?

Before League I used to play runescape in elemntary school with a good friend of mine, but after he moved away the magic of the game faded away. From there I would mainly play MapleStory or many of the other Nexon games on and off for years, not really enjoying it too much.Much later, I saw League in an "All Your History Are Belong To Us" episode in high school, but didn't give it much thought until I found out one of my friends plays it, finally deciding to try out the game. My parens were getting divorced at the time, and League naturally seemed to keep me occuipied and away from that toxic environment. That was in Season 2.
Since then, I've seen the community grow so much and have even seen several of my friends pick up the game and stick with it. I always get frustrated and go on losing streaks from time to time, but I still stay for some reason, always enjoying the multi-ques I do with friends and the thrill of the elo climb.
